I am owning a Hyundai Elantra 2020 and unfortunately the roller of the seat belt stopped working out of no where. So I called hyundai and asked them to replace it or make it right. They said they'll have to diagnose it and then they can decide whether it's covered under the warranty or no. As it is a safety issue I asked them to cover under the warranty and as my car has so many kms on it that is around 133000 they asked me if I extended warranty and I do have upto 160000 kms on my car and then they were like we'll have to take an approval from Hyundai and see if they can pay for it. And today i got a call that it's not approved and I will have to pay for the seat belt replacement. And with this thing also my high beams had stopped working but they got approval for that thing so Hyundai will pay for high beams but not for seat belt which is the part of a car what keeps you safe in.Business response

Because there is no need to look at it again ! They already diagnosed the thing and I already have the extended warranty which is until 160,000 kms so I just need the assurity that they will pay for my seat belt. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/01/24) */ vEHICLE does not show extended warranty but Hyundai Canada is good willing the part but not the labor. Vehicle is out of warranty. The vehicle has excessively high mileage for the year. customer had *************** insulating food bags in vehicle that appears is being used for commercial use also. If so the customer is in and out of vehicle many, many times a day. Seat belt is ordered. Will contact customer when it arrives.
