My mother has been a loyal client of Linen Chest for many years. When I would visit ******, we would often go together, so I was excited to place an order for several items for our new home, thinking that the customer service would be exceptional.My goodness, how wrong I was.I will never purchase from Linen Chest again, Ill be advising my mother of my experience, and consider yourself advised, as well.When my order arrived yesterday, I pulled out one item and thought to myself, I really dont think this is what I ordered. I went back to review the order I had placed and, sure enough, the item delivered was not the one ordered.I immediately reached out to Linen Chest via email about the situation. Keep in mind that Linen Chest also has no customer service # to call, no one to speak to. Youre essentially at the mercy of a (painfully slow) email response, and people on the other end who clearly are not solutions-oriented and have no regard for customer service.Here was their response, in a nutshell: Oops. Our bad. Send it back to us [read: please waste your time], and once we have it back in our possession, well send you the correct item. But also your return window is limited, as per our return policy. Ha ha. Joke is on you, silly customer.This isnt customer care. Putting the onus on a customer to make things right isnt how you do business. Its not my responsibility to oversee that Linen Chest packages and delivers the correct items in an order. And its certainly not my responsibility to make things right.Shop here if you must, but I highly recommend taking your home furnishing needs elsewhere.Also, I hope this review costs Linen Chest a WHOLE LOT MORE than the measly $41+ tax it would have cost them to remedy their error (and, in turn, have a repeat customer).Linen Chest Response

I had excellent service at the ************, ********* store on June 11th this year. I usually shop at the store in ****** but was visiting in *********. I always have received excellent service in ******. I had just left another store in the mall where I felt "almost invisible". The service that ***** #*****. Her attention was the highest example of what customer service should be. She went above and beyond and was very pleasant. I made an effort to thank her for her service and thus this review.5 STARS for *********************Linen Chest Response

I was completely ripped off by this company. After many attempts to resolve my issues sending proof of my credit card statement and all there shipment order numbers including partial shipments, they cancelled two products but charged my credit card for total order. Many many chats and emails and after several weeks of trying to resolve and them sending ridiculous statements in emails like confirming charges which was what I was disputing so stupid. I uploaded and sent them everything. Today finally the customer service chat agreed the charges should be $76.76 so have a nice day. I said wait why did you charge me that and also two additional charges of $119.95 and $21.14 she then said I have no more time for you other customers are waiting.Review from Dmgc E

The most disgusting and vile customer service experience. Stool over 800$ and refused to support for an order that did not process. No response to via their email, customer service contact number is a hocks no one picks up just hangs up after an automated bogus message. Managers in store incompetent and employees have zero training. I have to call customer protection for this veil and disturbing night mare. The managers of the point ****** and rockland stores were the worst. Training for management and employees is non existent for this horrible horrible company. They should be ashamed to say they are in customer service. And their system got hacked which scars me to think that aside from flat out stealing my money for a hocks order, that my credit card or private information is compromised. They have been giving me the run around and giving the most impossible hoops for me to jump through to refund me my money. Got charged interest on my credit card and told that is not their problem. Beware ordering online with Linen Chest. A recent order had a baguette baking set that has never arrived but was charged to my credit card immediately. No repsonse to repeated emails/chats. Also in the same order, a tablecloth that arrived with all the stitiching unravelling, again no response. It has been over a week and I still have no resolution and the charge is still on my credit card, so they havemy funds but I didn't receive the bread making set... I bought 2 orders online. One was missing a sheet set but they charged me for it. I contacted them a month ago and cannot get a response. The second order has a defective sheet set and again I have gotten no response from customer service. The only way to reach them is by email. Very poor service I will have to go through my credit card company to fight the overcharge.Review from Alisha S.

I ordered a bedding set for my daughter It ripped in the middle after a few nights use. Because it was over 30 days (it was a birthday gift so I had it a few weeks before I gave it to her) they said there’s nothing they can or will do. Whole set is useless now. I have never had such bad service. Do not shop here!Review from Erin C

Shopped here recently online, and its been 10 days since my order was placed but still have yet to receive an order confirmation, shipping notice, or anything at all. Theres a pending charge on my card but other than that, no trace of anything from them. I shop online a lot and have never waited more than 24 hours for an order confirmation. Linen Chest is apparently near impossible to get a hold of if you dont live near a store. I emailed them several days ago and still have not heard back. Cant get a hold of anyone on the chat, waited ages for that and nothing. Cant find a phone number to call customer service. Even tried sending a message on Instagram. So my moneys in limbo for however long until they decide to answer or maybe ship my item, I guess. For how high the prices can be, they sure dont offer anything resembling customer service for online orders! I realize things can be busier after Boxing Day but come on, its January 10th. Definitely would not recommend shopping here, at least not the online store.Review from T. W.

I sent this email on November 1st to the contact on the website and on Linen Chest ******** page and am still awaiting a replyI just came back from returning an item at your store in *********, ******. I had purchased an item with cash and unfortunately, it was not suitable. The return was going smoothly until I was informed that there was not $183.91 available in the cash register to give me my refund. The cashier asked for my debit card. I did not want to use the card, I requested to have my money returned to me in the manner that I had paid for the item. The cashier reaffirmed that no where, in any of the cash registers, was there $183.91. With much irritation, I handed over my debit card. As we were going through the process, I asked what happens when a person does not have a debit card. I was informed that it was store policy to no longer reimburse clients in cash, even if that is how they paid for an item in the first place. Is this even legal? When did this policy come into existence and why? The store had no problem accepting cash when I purchased the item and there was no mention of a new return policy. I have purchased many items over many years at the Linen Chest, all in cash with no issues. Believe me when I say that I am beyond irritated. Was there really no money in the cash register or has the store policy actually changed? Either way, the cashier was lying to me. I will seriously be rethinking if I wish to continue to do business with your store.Linen Chest Response
