After months of delays, the contractor that we had hired to do our kitchen renovation abruptly went out of business, leaving us with a half-finished kitchen. Not only had the contractor mismeasured the space for the cabinets, but they had also not forwarded our payment to our suppliers, including Laurysen. I contacted ***** at Laurysen to see if they could help us finish our kitchen.Within a couple days we had both designer *** and service manager *** on site to see what they could do. They suggested that we correct the errors that the contractor made, which included removing the old improperly installed cabinets and replacing all the cabinets with properly designed and built versions. They provided detailed drawings which I commented on and approved. They scheduled a tentative date and then contacted me again during the manufacturing phase to finalize an exact delivery date and install date. The components arrived on the day promised, and our installer **** showed up the following day. **** was skilled and meticulous in his installation of the cabinets and integrated them with our existing elements. *** came back a few days later to go over some minor adjustments, and those were completed within the week.What started out as an 8-month fiasco with an unreliable contractor completely turned around once we started working directly with Laurysen. We had a great, collaborative experience with Laurysen to get the kitchen that we had wanted from the beginning. They were very fair about pricing the project, even though they had not been paid by our initial contractor. I recommend Laurysen without reservation for a trustworthy partner in kitchen renovations.
