Bought a car from super economy cars 4300 Kingston road they won't fulfill there safty certificate I had the car 2 weeks and it only ran twice and they won't fix it under the safty they won't answer my calls they hang up on me I paid 6535.35 for a car that don't run **********************Business response

I had purchased a motor vehicle from Super Economy Auto Sales LTD, on August 15/2021. I paid around $8,500 of my hard earned money. I brought it home on Septermer 15 after all initial processings were done. On my way, I realized the car was making unusually loud sound when I was pressing gas. Later, I realized that it was also making a very loud sound when I was starting it. I called the sales person and he told us to take it to him. He checked and said - everything is ok. The problem continued. We took it to him, again he checked and said nothing wrong. We had called him for the problems many time, also took it to him. On the last visit, he suggested to change oil, which we did in the second week of October. With the assurance from the sales person, I continued driving, thinking that since it is a sport car, the sound is normal. Soon I realized the sound was getting worse at a point where I was afraid that I will be stopped by the traffic police for noise pollution. The sound while starting got worse too, it was sounding like it will explode, and shaking also continued. On early morning of Sunday, October 24/2021, while I was driving home, the car stopped in one of the busiest intersection ( Warden and Ellesmere). I was lucky that it was early morning. Soon it started again. When I was about three minute away from home, it stopped again. I had to call tow service, waited almost hour and half in one of the most coldest day with fear and uncertainity. I paid a hefty $169 to bring it home. After many attempts to contact him, we have been told that they are not obligated for any repair or damage. I am feeling helpless. I know I was fooled. I put my trust and good faith on him; as he called me I am like his sister and that he will never do anything wrong with me. I would never buy a car if it was not a pre-condition of my job. What happened to me was unfair and I am seeking for help to get my money back. Please help me. Thank you.Business response

From my understanding, you brought the vehicle back to us after hearing noises in the vehicle, following your travels to Montreal. We then had changed your belt. A week later, your husband brought the car back in suggesting the car needed a tune up. Our mechanic checked the vehicle and concluded a tune up was not necessary. A month and a half later you advised us the car was still giving you trouble. We asked you to bring it back in to have it checked. You refused and said you will take it to a ****** dealer. Since then we never heard back from you. Please do not hesitate to call us anytime to help you further.
