I moved in to my new place in the country that used propane. *** ******** ***** *** * ******* **** *** **** *** **** ** *** **** ** **** ********* so I looked around and was enticed by Superiors free litres offer so I opted for them instead. Little did I know that their price per litre charge was far and above the market standard year after year but I kept using them. The little nickel and dime fees such as delivery and the HAZMAT fee , that NO other provider was charging , finally got to me so I started looking around. The last straw was the fixed pricing per litre that they offered me was $0.25 to $0.30 more than their competitors. Done!!! I'm out. I secured another provider and told them to come pick up their 3 tanks. I was then informed that they would be charging me a $250 pickup fee. No where on the invoices is that $250 fee stated. ** ***** ******* **** * ****** * *** * ****** * * *** * ****** **** Then they charged me a $250 cancellation fee or what they called an administration fee. Then they charged me a years rental on the tanks which was 3 weeks past the anniversary date for the tank install. They charged over $0.25/L more and we cancelled when finding this out. They are now trying to stick us with a $250 tank pick up fee which they said I agreed to because they told me about it on the phone. I expressed on phone that this is yet another reason why we will not remain a customer. I have asked them to provide me with the contract that I signed that said I have to pay this 'fee' and they just keep telling me it is on the invoice and because they told me about it on the phone. Just because you tell someone you have a fee and send someone an invoice it does not mean they should have to pay it. Superior is charging me 1.40$ per liter and my neighbor .78 cents per liter there reason is because he uses more and fills his tank once a year I updated all new windows insulation and high efficiency furnace as per helping the environment to cut down on fuel so obviously our our government has no interest in cutting fuel consumption since they allow this to happen dont see how this is legal to charge more because I use lessReview from Cliff M

Superior Propane is the ***** provider of residential propane in Ontario. They have complex service agreements that effectively create a perpetual agreement that cannot be canceled by the consumer without paying minimum $250 penalty. They purposefully stagger tank rental renewal and price agreement dates to force cancellation penalty. It makes no sense to not have one without the other, but you cannot cancel at the same time without penalty. They will charge you a "Tank Pick-up" fee of $250 that is not in your agreement. They will add amounts owing to your account, never invoice for the amount and charge late fees for charges you know nothing about. They will double bill you. They will increase your rental fee - 20% in my case. They will try to force you into renewing price agreement by quoting hyper inflated non-agreement price. In my case, buying 2500+ L annually, $1.62 / L or agree to price term at $1.08 / L, while market pricing was $0.74 / L. Really bad service. I have been with this company for propane delivery service to my cottage in Huntsville for 7 years. Delivery schedules were delayed from time to time without any notice. Last month I scheduled an appointment (required by the company) for all the propane equipments inspection ( at least once every 10 years) and I drove 250KM for the appointment. The guy supposed to show up in the morning between 8:30-noon, but did not without any call (as always). I called the customer service twice. The first time, the lady told me he was coming and should be arriving at any time. After 12:00pm, I called again and they said they tried to reach the relevant department and asked me to wait. Later they said: I will call you back as soon as I got an update. An hour later, the customer representative called back and said because their truck was broken, they were unable to make it (???). Because of that, they said, you have to book a new appointment. There is no penalty (***, who should pay penalty???). ***** *** ******* ** *** ****Review from Astrid K

**** ** *** ** *** ***** ********* ***** First of all you better read your service agreement carefully. It is the most one sided agreement ever with all obligations on the Customer and no level of service guaranteed by them. There is a resent change to this Company, I ordered propane for my home in Hope BC they told me I’d have a delivery by the 20 th of May or before. called them on the 22nd asking them when I’d get a delivery they said they’d call the corrignator and let me know. I had to cancel my family coming for the weekend cause I only had 8% left in my tank. I was used to getting propane delivered the next day or 2 nd day I’m still waiting for a response as to when I’m getting a delivery. Question? Am I able to get propane delivered by someone else other the Supperior?Review from Kelly H

Superior Propane had switched my meter with me neighbours meter at installation when the townhouses were built. Called to ask why my bills were so high and asked for an investigation - month and a half later and weekly asking it was finally done. Got a credit but they won't give me my bills that were supposed to be mine before the switch and how they got to my credit number - also can't budget or split the bills with my now roommate who has moved out - Katie the ********* manager has been a nightmare to deal with and tells me I will get them when Superior can - she would just sit on the phone and sigh and groan at me, telling me I don't understand how much work this is yet it took them 2 weeks after they looked at my meter to decide my credit but won't give me the details and will not call anyone who lived in the townhouse before me to rectify this situation - I moved in April 2022 FYI. No one from Superior has treated me with respect or solved this situation since I called in November 2022. Superior has terrible reputation in ********* - probably because they blame other people for their problems and in my case won't take responsibility for the meter switch and blames the company who put the propane pipes in and Katie told me my walls would have to get ripped out to figure out who is to blame for the meters being switched.Superior Propane Response

I bought a home that had a Superior tank. The lease cost was to high(close to 25% of the price reconition tank pre year). They have no buy out option. Removal fee was $250 plus they want to charge for 2 more months after the removeable. Said it would removed i two weeks. That afternoon tank was removed and they damaged the copper line. It been 4 months and few phones nothing been done and they still holding back funds they own me. And the line is still damage.
