I am one of the many clients involved in the **** class action duel clutch case. A ruling was made in 2020 for a large settlement of "a minimum of $30 million." Rice point was hired to distribute the funds and I have still not received a settlement. They refuse to answer emails about this issue. With the amount of time that has passed and the lack of transparency, I am concerned that the funds are being misdirected somewhere other than to the **** customers who were wronged in this situation. If they are being honest, why the secrecy and silence over the progress of this settlement? Are they not obliged to do this job in a timely manner and to maintain contact with the clients they represent? This seems very unprofessional to me and I believe they need to be held accountable for their unsatisfactory business practice. Please advise.

No, I have not heard from this company.

*****, I called them and was met with aggression and false information by a male staff, who in turn refused to transfer me to a manager or allow me to hold for a manager.  In fact, he told me that I called and requested payment by cheque, thats a lie, because it never happened, and all their calls are recorded.

Recorded call will verify that on January 16th, a male staffer give me my security answer to etransfer, which was selected, then on January 17th, I spoke with ******************, a manager, who informed me around end of February or early March I will receive an etransfer, then on February 2nd, a voicemail from her and an email from the director, but no contact from me to them for any requests for cheque.

****************** told me that she will speak with the back office regarding sending the etransfer earlier.

****** and associates LLP should start using Eqip, because Rice Point is not credible.

I am part of the **** class action lawsuit for faulty transmissions. I had my transmission repaired approximately 20 times in 3 years. I filed my claim in December Of 2019 before the deadline. I have been calling for approximately 3 years and keep getting the same result. Rice point claims they are still processing claims and keep saying my cheque will be in the mail. I have been patient but this company definitely has no intentions of paying the money out.

I have contacted Rice point 5 times since July 12 with regards to a settlement from *******. Each time I was given different answers on when they will be sending out my settlement check. First 2 weeks then end of the month then end of following month then end of September. Called again today and new time of 3 to 4 months.
I asked for information about sending something in writing but would not give a mailing address or any contact information to talk to someone. Only told me I can put a request to talk to a Supervisor. Which I requested.
Rice point is not issuing out any checks. They are sitting on the funds and making sure they stale as long as possible.
