Roof replaced with lifetime transferable warranty on my bungalow and garden shed and dog shed. Cost me $6,816.59 Vent to my kitchen was broken. Cost me $605.12 to have plumbers replace it. Attic vent was not replaced with like kind and quality that was on my preexisting roof. (CT-4 vent) Eves trough was bent after employees failed to use gutter guards on their ladder. Employees jumped in and out of raised garden beds. Subcontractor hired by Firon to replace my eves trough was rude, failed to put down tarps, dropped screws into my garden beds & failed to pick them up, did not put my gutter guard back on Eves trough and put their ladders in my raised garden beds and in my currant bushes. Refused to install what was on house before and never advised us of when work was to start or finish. Subcontractor claimed he had to replace 40-50 eves troughs per year for Firon for the past 10 years.

      Hi

Thanks for your email and sharing your concerns.

Our crew did accidentally damage the eavestrough which we had replaced for you by an eavestroughing company.

Our production manager met with you at the end of the job to go over everything, and he personally addressed the vent for your shed.

The plumbing stack was broken below the roof line which is why we suggested having a plumber come to check and repair it as needed.

We did install the CT-4 exhaust vent as I was able to verify on our material order and the photos uploaded from when our crew did the work.

The surprising thing to us now is that this job was completed on May 15th, we addressed all of your concerns and now you are bringing them back up again two months later.

We want to help.  I received your e-mail on Friday and responded within the hour asking if we can arrange a time to meet and discuss things further.  You replied back saying you were on the road and would get back in touch later that day. Instead of getting in touch, you left a 0 star review on *********, and now made this BBB complaint.

Please let me know what we can do next to help you.  We need you to reach out to us directly.

      Regards,

      ****

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      1) The vent installed was not the same as the one I had on my roof nor was it the 4 baffle vent you had agreed to install IF my vent was not reused. (Mine was new)

      2) * ** ******* ***** *** ***** ***** **** ** **** ***** ********* ** ***** They did not advise me of the damage to my eves trough and they did not advise me they exchanged the vents for a smaller cheaper one.

      3) They did not advise me they were removing the vent on my dog shed.

      4) They did not put up a continuous eves trough as we had and they did not install end caps as promised.

      5) The subcontracting company damaged my plants and fruit bushes and did not install the evesguard as we had on our eves trough.

      6) The subcontracting company left screws in our gardens and did not use tarps and roofing debris was left on my wheelchair ramp.

      Sincerely,

      **** *****

      Hi ****,

Again I am disappointed you have not taken our calls or allowed for an opportunity to resolve your concerns. I have responded to each of your listed items. On review, please let us know exactly what you would like to do to resolve this. Our goal is to ensure you are once again as satisfied as you were the day you called our office saying how great the team and work was. Let's get there again!

      1) The vent installed was not the same as the one I had on my roof nor was it the 4 baffle vent you had agreed to install IF my vent was not reused. (Mine was new)

Can you please verify what vent you are referring to? Your contract agreement states 2 Maxi 302 vents and 1 Ct-4. All 3 of these vents are installed new on your roof as quoted. Receipts and Photographs can be provided.

      2) * ** ******* ***** *** ***** ***** **** ** **** ***** ********* ** ***** They did not advise me of the damage to my eves trough and they did not advise me they exchanged the vents for a smaller cheaper one.

** *** *** *** *** ****** ** **** ********** We are communicating months after your work through this formal complaint despite your resistance to talk to us to resolve anything you may feel unsatisfied with. Your correct that our staff did miss the eavestrough damage, however they were replaced in full at no cost to you as soon as we became aware of the issue. Again, please confirm what you think is wrong with the vents. They 100% match your contract agreement and are proper size for your roof space.

      3) They did not advise me they were removing the vent on my dog shed.

We have before and after photos of both sheds. 1 had a vent and 1 did not. The shed that had a vent, still has the vent. Please confirm what you are referring to as the photo documentation we have from the job does not match. ****** ******** *** **********

      4) They did not put up a continuous eves trough as we had and they did not install end caps as promised.

We did not sell you eavestrough, but rather replaced what you had existing... If you would like to have end caps installed, please let us know as we would be pleased to continue assisting with this.

      5) The subcontracting company damaged my plants and fruit bushes and did not install the evesguard as we had on our eves trough.

      6) The subcontracting company left screws in our gardens and did not use tarps and roofing debris was left on my wheelchair ramp.

I am sorry to hear the company that we hired left debris and damage behind. As Firon does not offer this service, we did have to outsource to be able to replace them for you. We would be pleased to send our own team to do a clean up for you if needed.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Firon has yet to contact me in person.

They have emailed me and I did respond to their emails.

The vent was not replaced on the dog shed roof and the vent I had was not replaced on the house. (The cheaper one like I had prior to my installing the 3 baffle one was.)

I had to clean up the debris myself (with help from friends). I really would have appreciated your offer to send your team over when I first contacted you. But as it is, months later as you so succinctly put it, it has been taken care of.

The eves trough that your sub contractor installed is not the same as I had. We had a continuous eves straight across the whole house (75 & 77.) with eves guard. So our request was to have the same installed across the house. (To prevent leaks in a seam.) We were told by your subcontractor that he would not replace the same as we had because he would need permission from the neighbors at unit 77. Well not my problem. I suggested he do that & contact the people at unit 77 and he just laughed and said since I was not the person who hired him, I had no say. Really!! Well we are the owners of 75 and as the owners, we have all the say. (Regardless of the implied 500 or 600 eves troughs that his team has damaged in the past 10 years.)

      Sincerely,

      **** *****
