I got a 2016 ******* ******* ***** 3.8 ***** from CQ's Car Guyz in April of 2021. The vehicle was running great for the first year with no problems at all. I kept up to date with oil changes (receipts and invoices will be provided), regular maintenance that is needed, and only using 91 or higher grade of fuel. Near the middle of July, I was driving the vehicle one day and I heard a knocking sound coming from the engine. I stop driving the vehicle because I had done my own diligence by researching the problem. The knocking sound coming from the engine meant that the short block had spun a rod bearing. I called the salesman ******* ***** who had sold me the vehicle and works for CQ's Car Guyz. He said to take the car to any ******* dealership, the car has a ******* extended warranty, and an aftermarket warranty (******* ****** ********). I took my car first to Clarington *******. They said they would not be able to fix the vehicle because the car does not have a warranty under my name. I called ******* ***** he stated that he never heard this before, and also that the extended warranty stays with the vehicle. I brought my car back to my residents. I called ******* Canada to try to resolve my problems but no luck. I was told to take it to another dealership. I took my car to another ******* dealership to try to resolve my issue with the vehicle. They said the same thing. I called ******* ***** he said to take my car to ******* Burlington. I towed my vehicle to Burlington *******. The lady Jennifer said that my ECU was tampered with and it would not be covered under warranty. I called my aftermarket warranty to resolve this issue. ******* ****** ******** said since the dealership CQ Car Guyz did not pay the invoice needed for my car to the warranty (letter provided), this letter was sent on August 10, 2021. The car has been sitting since July 2022. OMVIC is involved in this matter, the finance company is doing an investigation. please call for further explanation
