Purchased a passenger snowmobile seat (approx value of the seat that was purchased is $1000 plus tax) when I purchased my snowmobile in January 2022. In the past 4 months I have contacted the dealership and the sales persons who sold me the snowmobile in hope to rectify the problem and get my passenger seat but to date haven’t received my passenger seat, an update from the sales person or the seal ship and actually been told I will get the seat whenever they get in. Now prior to talking with the sales person who sold me the seat I was talking to the parts sales person who informed me the seats were in but that had all been sold again and anyone waiting did not receive a passenger seat they were waiting for. When I approached the sales person with this information he immediately got defensive and rude and refused to answer any more of my questions. This is unacceptable behaviour from an employee and a business as a whole, appropriate action should be taken to ensure the employee and business cannot take advantage of hard working people especially in the hard times we have been facing the past two years. Totally unacceptable when people are being ripped off by large businesses with the help of their employees and no one has to answer for it. It’s time the BBB step up and rectify the issues with this business. Thanks In advanceBusiness response

From what I/we can see in regards to this incidence is that there was a misunderstanding in regards to the conversation with the Parts Dept. as per stated in letter. But at no time did we have free stock on this particular seat throughout anytime this season. All of the Seats in question were Special ordered for the specific people at time of the sale. At no time did we have free stock on this particular seat. The customers seat was special ordered on January 12th and has been on backorder from the manufacturer ever since then. At no time have we received free available stock of this seat. All seats have had customer names attached to them for they have also been special ordered and received and delivered as per order date. We know it is frustrating but availability and backorders are beyond our control and have been dealing with this quite more frequent in the last year or so. At no time was the customers seat sold to someone else. Again I/we apologize for the inconvenience of this matter and any poor communication in regards to the backorders.

When a part or accessory is backordered we have no control over that. If the customer feels the only resolve is a refund then that’s what we will do.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 17141900, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.they can mail out the refund for the rear heated passenger seat ASAP so I can purchase one from a reputable business elsewhere . They can also mail out the ignition that didn’t arrive on the snowmobile as well and I will also have it installed elsewhere.
