Beware: After just 4 years of light use our GE Cafe stove spontaneously burst into flames. Black smoke billowed from the surface rear fan panel. A qualified GE approved technician found that the mother and circuit boards had melted beyond repair. GE had originally offered to repair it to working order but then offered only 1/4 of the replacement cost for the same range. GE refuses to replace a costly, dangerous and defective appliance. Bad for GE brand.Review from Allison B

Bought a brand new dishwasher for $1500 and it doesn’t work. Had a technician out to my house to fix it, he fixed three problems on it but it still doesn’t run and no water has even gone through the dishwasher.Review from Gord B

Purchased GE Profile range and refrigerator for **** ***** in June 2020. The range oven never worked properly. We had a number of service calls and GE finally agreed to replace the range which took several months to arrive. August 2021 the new range arrived and the delivery people bobbled the range as they carried it into the house damaging the door to the lower section. The oven on the new range works well but the burners do not heat properly - minimum heat can boil water is a few minutes. Also there was no oven light in the new range. We have had several calls with the support line and have had a repair technician come to repair the lower over door (they didn't receive all the parts so that didn't work). Our calls were escalated to a higher level at GE (Mabe Canada) and despite assurances that they would facilitate the repairs to the door and to the range elements, they have stopped returning our calls or replying to our emails. We have an extended warranty but the range is still under the manufacturers warranty so we have to deal with GE until the warranty expires. Due to the number of issues we have requested a refund but no response. I would not recommend anyone purchasing a GE appliance. The appliances look good but do not work well. We talked to some neighbours that have also purchased GE appliances and none of them would buy GE again.Mabe Canada - Moncton Response
