I had a new furnace installed. It was all fine to me. Manitoba hydro inspection found that they mounted the furnace on wood .It hangs from the rafters in my crawl space . So the home service guys came out yesterday and changed the mounting supports to steel . So now the plenum bangs at the end of the heating cycle which it did not before so I phoned College electric this morning who was my initial contact and asked to send the guys back to adjust there work The lady on the phone insisted there was nothing they were going to do and after a frustrating talk with her she hung up on me.Business response

Consumer Response /* (2000, 8, 2022/04/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) After speaking with the owner he arranged for the original installer to come over this morning. A few issues were noted that the cold air return had been changed when the steel replaced the wood .The installer adjusted the cold air return and the loud banging stopped. He also noted that the filter was already dirty and needed replacing which he did. He stated that the furnace fan had to compensate for the dirty filter and was creating a vacuum that could be seen on the side walls of the furnace that could also cause the banging noise. The furnace filter was only in for 2 months. Its to bad that it had to come to this as I had asked the receptionist to speak to her manager. Problem solved thanks to BBB
