Hi I no longer have the receipt for my ECCO sandals. These are expensive shoes and the soles should last for years, especially when they are not being worn much. They were barely worn, the leather looks like new. The soles are disintegrating, ECCO shoe company has been getting a lot of complaints online about this manufacturing defect, it is called hydrolysis. The Sole breaks off into little black bits. I had forgotten about the shoes, they were in the back of my closet. That is why I didn't know there was a problem within the one year warranty period. I wore them only one day this summer. I cannot wear them at all because they keep breaking off in little bits. This is unacceptable. I am a ******* and found my shoes were breaking up on the white carpet at an open house I was having. I want the company to reimburse me with a credit or replacement pair of shoes. These shoes should still be able to be worn if not for this terrible flaw. I noticed BBB in United States had 23 complaints against ECCO closed in the last 3 years, and 14 complaints closed in the last 12 months.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.ECCO online also made me an offer, they emailed me a coupon code for $150. and I am using it towards a new pair of sandals.
The matter is resolved.
