I recently had occasion to have my LOW BEAM headlight installed. I did try to install a newly purchased bulb to no avail suspecting it would require a specialized tool I did not own. So I booked an appointment only to find that a specialist would be required to perform this procedure. I was made aware he was away on vacation until the 23 of October, so I waited patiently until he would be available. I arrived at the repair shop on October 23rd at 7:55 AM waited in line until 8:15 AM for service agent to complete paper work outlining requirements to install my supplied bulb. I left the service department and awaited completion of this repair only to receive a phone call at 9:52 AM that some complication had occurred and this repair would require the removal of an inner fender and the cost would be increased by about 2 hours of labour, which seemed a bit more than I expected but not knowing there was any other way I regretfully agreed to continue. I then received another call at 12:35 AM informing me this very delegate procedure was complete. My car was ready for pickup. Upon arrival I was presented with a repair invoice of an astonished $430.14!!! Labour rate 2 hours at $173.00 each = $346.00 total Shop supplies 11% per hour @ $141/RO = $38.06 Obligatory 12% taxes = $46.08 Grand total= $430.14 My experience concluded with for sure name change is now in order . . .NEW NAME: "DAMS NO-GO"Specialist wage cost is reduced to a more reasonable amount as $360,000.00 / year for changing light bulbs is TOO much?Shop supplies need to be carefully listed as none were required as I supplied my own part!

**** ****** needs to take ************* out of their dealer network. Go Auto is only in the business to squeeze every last ***** out of people with low and poor credit. Go Auto does NOT care about customer service and will steal your ordered car to mark it up even more and sell it to someone else. ZERO ETHICS

Avoid, Poor service and ********** ***** is their service department calling card. They're responsible for destroying my brakes on 2 separate occasions. Including rotators, caliper, caliper boot and the seals on my axles. Their service department openly admitted they DO NOT machine the brakes after replacing the pads which leads to warping. I took the vehicle to a different dealer due to schedule cancellations from Dams dealership and was made aware of the incompetence of this facility. ******* **** ***** *** *** *** ***** *** **** ***** They also performed a **** inspection and passed the brakes with the exception of the brakes pads so they obviously DO NOT perform proper safety inspections as well. Go somewhere else ****** *** **** **** ******* ** ***** **** ********* ***** ******* ** *** * **** ********** *****

The customer's vehicle is a commercial diesel truck ***** ****** equipped as a garbage bin rolloff. The braking system is required to handle heavier weights than a light passenger vehicle. Our commercial service shop has serviced this truck since 2014, as a new vehicle. We don't understand the claim that we 'destroyed his brakes' on 2 occasions. In April/2017, @ 73,600 kms, was the 1rst brake work: changing both front & rear brake pads/linings and one rear caliper. In January/2019, @ 121,500 kms (48,000 kms later), we replaced the rear pads only, plus rear rotors & rear calipers. Then in March/2020, @ 147,500 kms the front brake pads were replaced (they had 74,000 kms on them). The distances travelled between brake servicing are perfectly reasonable for a commercial truck and do not indicate any early failures. We never worked on the axles so don't understand how we are to be responsible for the axle seal failure the customer mentions - this was covered under the manufacturer's warranty. At the Provincial safety inspection we performed in April/2022, @ 193,500 kms, only the rear brake pads were close to minimum thickness to warrant replacing. The customer scheduled a service appointment, but as he mentioned, we were unable to complete the work as scheduled, so he took the truck to another shop. While machining rotors at every brake pad change might be OK for light passenger vehicles, it is not recommended on commercial trucks unless the rotor is warped or grooved, due to the loss of metal during the machining process, which shortens the life of the rotor and makes warping and overheating more likely. At our April inspection all 4 rotors were above the minimum required thickness, but they were getting close to that minimum (of 37.4 mm). We understand that the other shop machined one front rotor and then found it was below the required minimum thickness, so then it had to be replaced - this is an illustration of why we don't do this at every pad change on a commercial vehicle. We are sorry that this customer is unhappy. However, there is no 'fraudulent scam' and we don't see any evidence that anything we did or didn't do has caused damage to the truck

i have had my lost my suv for about a long period of time now ,due to transmission failure. The problem is warranty issue not resolved but in for service now. But my issue is I don't have a loaner from Dams for me to get around while my suv is in for repair .Sadly I've been a loyal customer for over 8 years.
