The contractor came to fix the heating in 2 rooms in my unit , as soon as they left the heating in one room, went back down and stopped working. I asked them to come back and correct whatever they did however, they said they were not available that day and they would be available the following weekend I waited for them I asked them to confirm the time they came. They told me that they would be coming on the following Sunday which was the 26th, but they never showed up and they never answered my text. They charged me $210 for the repairs that were not complete and they are not picking up their phones again. I would like to get compensation on a refund or at least to warn other people from dealing with that company.

************************ of Pentagon Electrical Ltd. ("supplier") installed a bathroom ceiling/exhaust fan on Sept 28, 2022 in my home. After the supplier claimed that he completed the job, I found damages on my ceiling and the surrounding area where the fan was installed. Damages included but not limited to a big hole in my ceiling as a result of the supplier sawing the ceiling to make a bigger opening to install a bigger fan (as compared to the old one). There were also damages in the surrounding area which included but not limited to scratches and hole on the wall.I then talked with the supplier about the damages and I wanted him to fix the damages. However, the supplier insisted that his job is electrical only and not repairing any damages. I explained to the supplier that it was his responsibility to install the fan properly and not damage the property. The supplier then offered me that he has a friend who can repair the damages but I need to pay $50 for the repair and the supplier will pay any balance of the total cost of the repair. Despite of being unsatisfied of the supplier's reason, I was forced to accept the suppliers offer for the sake of my property being repaired. I also asked the supplier to provide me an invoice for the services that he has performed. Shortly after the installation of the fan, I heard loud noise consistently when the fan is switched on and off. I brought this issue to the supplier. It took a month for the supplier to fix this issue and this was after several follow-**** The supplier provided odd schedules to fix the fan making it hard for me to adjust. He insisted to come at 8 a.m. or 5 p.m. or weekends. I then agreed to 8 a.m. but he arrived past 10 a.m.Until today, the supplier has not fixed the damages on my ceiling and has not provided me with the invoice.Attached are 4 pages of word document showing the Chronology of Events as well as a photo of the damages on my ceiling and the sorrounding area.

He does feels that *** is good person to do business. He was not comfortable to do job talking to *** on a phone call. He say that *** was threatening me on phone and it was the same experience with me on phone. He is talking about a fan issue that makes very small noise once it starts and stops the fan. I explained to *** on the phone that it is just a vent open and close sound. I will come and fix it on the way. But he doesn't understand the simple thing. Then make a visit to fix his fan within 5 minutes. At the end, I told him to find his own renovation company. I will give him rebate for $50.

      Complaint: ********

I would like to correct what the supplier wrote in his response pertaining to his accusation that I ********** him and his friend. I have the exchanges of text messages to prove that nothing like that or even close to that accusation happened.

I am rejecting this response because:

      a) The supplier made damages on my bathroom ceiling and the surrounding area during his installation of the exhaust fan. Upon completion of the fan installation and after I requested for the damages repairs, the supplier offered me that he has a friend who is in the construction industry as a finisher and can repair the damages but I need to pay $50 for the repair and the supplier will pay any balance of the total cost of the repairs. I agreed to the suppliers offer. There was no agreement that the supplier will give me $50 and I will be in charge of the repairs cost; and

      b) I requested for the supplier to seek a construction guy to perform the repairs so that he will have more control on the repair cost and I will just pay $50 (the supplier will pay the remaining balance). However, if the supplier prefers not to provide a construction guy to conduct the repairs as per our agreement, I was able to contact an independent ********* contractor (I do not know this guy prior to my contact) and he came to my home to assess the work to be done (this was free of charge). In order for the repair work to be completed, the ********* needs to come at least 3 times in different occassions to perform and complete the job. And the total price for the job is $280. I was able to negotiate to this price provided that the repair will just be basic (flat instead of textured ceiling).  The suppliers offer of $50 is way too low for the actual cost of the repairs. I can provide the contact information of this ********* if needed.

I am asking that the supplier will respect our agreement. I am asking that the supplier will pay $230 and I will cover the balance of $50 for the repairs as per our agreement. In addition, until today the supplier has not provided me a receipt/invoice for the service that he has performed despite of my repeated requests.

As a summary, I seek the following from the supplier:

      a) The supplier will pay me $230 as his share of the cost of the repairs; and

      b) The supplier will provide me the receipt/invoice for the job/service he performed.

      Sincerely,

      **************

I was referred to him by **** ***. He came by on Sept 21st and told me he needed parts for the job and asked me to get a refund from **** *** and send him a $200 deposit for the job. I did that and ever since then he’s either not shown up on a set date and time or when he did show up 2 hours late then said because he could not find parking in front of my house he left. I was at work at the time and had my mom wait for him. I told him to ring the bell but he never bothered because he did not want to park down the street. When I asked for my deposit back he said he would not give it to me because he is charging me for the visit.

On services call I was there on site with my technician. It was so busy corner around her house. It took around 15 to 20 minutes to cross the traffic. There was some kind of school time. We didn’t not find any parking on street at that time.I call her many times, she doesn’t attend my phone. Then I leave a massage that we are waiting in back side of her house. I was there to complete my job not to waste my time. If I completed job then I will make more money. I before we make a schedules couple times with her. Her mom give me call and changed the schedule. I have make arrangements and adjustments to make schedules accordingly. If any job canceled it means it costs me because I have to my technician for free for those hours. She give me call and want her money back. I already bought materials and spent my time on road. Which means it is time and money wasting.
