By mistake, on Oct 27th, 2023, I booked the hotel with Abercorn Hotel for October 27th at 6:01 PM. My intention was to book the room for November 4th, 2023, but I unintentionally booked it for October 27th, the same day I booked the hotel. As soon as I received the confirmation email from Abercorn reservations service at 6:01 PM on October 27th, I realized my error and immediately canceled the purchase. I received the cancellation email at 6:01 PM on October 27th. At the same time, I attempted to contact the hotel, but no one answered the phone and no opportunity to leave a voicemail was available. On November 11th, I discovered the charge $158.68 for October 27th from the hotel; I attempted to contact them, but the response was ************* was not available." On November 12, I contacted them once more. The hotel responded that I did not cancel the accommodation 48 hours before check-in. I sent them confirmation and cancelation emails to demonstrate that it was a 30-second mistake. When I requested to talk with the manager, they stopped returning my phone calls and emails.
