Booked an appointment with a Duct Cleaning company from ********. On the date of the cleaning the Tech was late but was nice enough to call that he was going to be later. The Promotion was All ducts cleaned including the drier vent , sanitization, and snap shots before and after. At 1216 pm a RONA truck from I believe from Kelowna shows up with a single tech . I show him where the furnace was located and through our the process 20 ducts and outside drier vent. After hooking up the vacuum to the closest duct to the furnace the tech basically uses a 12 inch blow gun and blows into the duct. Never did the tech close any of the vents prior to starting the work. The tech then went outside to 'clean the drier duct' which was the only process I did not witness. There were no before and after pictures shown to me and to my knowledge no sanitization. After paying for the 'service' I received what appeared to an email receipt from 'RONA Duct and Carpet Cleaning' with all your information. At 1:38pm the truck was backing up from my driveway. When I contacted RONA about this. They advised me that although it was a RONA truck they were actually contracted out by an internet company **** ****  and follows their procedures. They then advise that you cannot compare RONA and what I book via the internet company. I then advised RONA that **** **** was using what appeared to be a RONA receipt. As the email stated it was from "RONA and Carpet Cleaning". I am sure if **** **** has used RONA before this has happened before. If this was a RONA employee sloppy and substandard work. Did the absolute bare minimum. (The young tech was polite and honest. What he needed was guidance) Regardless whether you are the sub contractor or not , your name is attached to the truck in BOLD LETTERS therefore the QUALITY should be there. I trusted the name. I suggest you avoid work from '**** ****" as they are destroying you company's reputation. I have asked your director of operations regarding your sub contracting procedures or what procedures **** **** required and how RONA's subcontracting works but have yet to receive a response. All the RONA director said if you want to your duct cleaned you should go directly to the RONA website. As a person who has a VIP Pro card with *****/Rona why would I . Your truck show up and this is the quality of work that is provided.
