I am a 76 year-old senior citizen. *** Appliance and Refrigeration says it's slogan is "If It is Broken, **************!". Not true. I have a 60+ year-old electric stove. I phoned and asked if the company could repair my stove. A cynical woman telephone receptionist said she didn't know. I then asked if she could send someone to my house to look at the problem. She said my stove was too old and parts were not available. Later, my son came over and opened the fuse panel on the stove and told me that one of the fuses was burned out. He went to the store and bought a $3 fuse and installed it. My stove works perfectly again. I am really annoyed at the silly communications I exchanged with *** Appliance and Refrigeration. They were not at all useful. If they had their way, I would have gone out and purchased a new $1,000 stove that I did not need. Terrible.

Most stove parts are dis continued after 10 years let alone 60 years . Being a senior we were only trying to save him the $150 call out fee to tell him that his stove is unrepairable or unsafe to even attempt repair . Legally if I see other issues wiring , switches burners that are un safe after 60 years of use I have to fix them which again wouldn't be cost effective or possible due to parts being NLA . There is always a reason why fuses burn out ! I hope this doesnt result in something now unsafe for this customer . I wish him the best .
