Quoted a price on the phone by two employees paid a 50% deposit then the company send an updated quote increasing the price when I question the employee Brenda regarding the price she told me that Zach was new and forgot a few charges when I stated that I wanted the original price I was quoted Zach told me the contract was cancel I tried to explain this to Brenda she is the manager she told me that because * **** * **** ******* I should be able to afford the higher price. I told her no I wanted the price I was quoted. They have agreed to send my deposit back but not sure how long that will take. Customer ordered some carpet for his home in addition to some work we were doing at the home for an insurance flooring replacement job. He wanted an additional area done, over and above the insurance replacement budget. He selected the carpet with my salesperson, and 50 percent deposit was put down, and carpet was ordered. In discussion after the order was placed, a toilet was going to be needed to taken up and replaced ( for the insurance portion of the job ) and some furniture to be moved in the bedroom for the carpet install. This portion of the job was not part of either contract. When informed of this, the homeowner ****** ******* and not willing to pay for the items to be done. We decided as a company to refund the money to the customer. ( The cheque for the refund was cashed by customer on October 27. ) We will not tolerate ******* behavior to our staff. We have no interest in dealing with him further. As we have refunded his money, we do not have any contract with homeowner, so no resolution on our end is necessary.
