Living in ******************* for 20-plus years, we thought we would try Diverse Flooring out. It's unfortunate that we did! The young salesman was helpful. However, that is where it ended. We were told our order would be 5 to 7 business days, well 4 weeks later, and 3 follow-up calls later, our product arrived. That should have been the first hint. I won't be knit picky on employees' attitudes or demeanor, but stick to the main issue of ignorance and negligence.We specifically told the salesman that we needed a product, which the design was horizontal, not vertical. Specifically HORIZONTAL. The salesman went to speak with someone, presumably an owner or manager. They recommended a full roll of linoleum, which would be the right material for the job. Trusting the employees were making the correct recommendation to us we ordered with the agreement and their "Final Sale" policy. When we went to install the product, the design was not HORIZONTAL it was VERTICAL, the complete opposite direction. Which does not work. Maybe I shouldn't assume that Flooring "Experts" know the difference between horizontal and vertical. However, we thought it was a safe bet.We contacted Diverse Flooring and told them the issue, and the response was "The item purchased is a final sale, and it is not able to be returned."We replied by stating "this was not what we wanted, and this will reflect in their review"My error was trusting they ordered the correct design and blindly accepting their final sale policies.How are we to be held accountable when we don't know how the design comes on a roll and trusted that they knew and were clear on what we wanted and ordered the correct product to our specifications. When you speak with an owner and salesperson, you trust their knowledge and their recommendations. Their lack of attempt to rectify this is negligent upon them, and if they take this attitude with a $350 order, how will they treat someone on a bigger job.
