      In Ontario, a standard form residential lease must be used by the landlord to rent out a property after March 2021. See the Government Of Ontario's website and the link to the Tenancy Act: ************************************************  The only exemptions are mobile homes and other fringe rental like worker's camps which doesn't apply in this case. When a statue use the word "must" it means compliance is mandatory. However, Lawdepot is trying to sell a residential lease document and claims that "Different provinces have different rules and regulations. Your Residential Lease Agreement will be customized for Ontario" making it sound like their residential lease is valid when it is not. They are basi***** trying to trick people to buy something and defrauding customers by selling a residential lease when there's a standard form required by the Ontario Government in residential rental units. You can see the above wording when you go to **************************************************** and click past the first property question and a drop down with a list of province will appear which includes Ontario.

      2018-2024 I signed up for a free trial, canceled before the trial period ended, and JUST TODAY noticed that I have been charged $33/month with no communication from the company until I requested to reset my password. I have not received monthly receipts (EVER). I just happened to notice on my banking statement (yes, I should have noticed a long time ago, but I didn't). I am appalled that a receipt was not sent to me at least each month. I would certainly have noticed that the trial/subscription was not canceled.

      these people are frauds they sign you up for a trail and they charge you with without providing a recipt. they keep on being rude and disrespectful over the phone and they keep hanging up on my. i need a full refund. this company is a scam. they been charging me for over 4 month. they need to get it togther. the employees refuse to transfer me to thier manager.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I did not recive any emails from them. This company makes mist of thier money from charging consumer money and providing the consumers nothing in return for the money they charged. Beware of this company everyone they do not focus on consumer happiness and satisfaction, they only focus on making money. I do not accept the response. I an willing to settle for a full refund. I do not trust this company neither should anyone trust them. The lady was very rude and disrespectful over the phone she should be fired not retrained.

      I can see that this is happening quite often with this company. I loathe companies that do this to people, taking the money from their accounts. I have applied the free trial on 28th of June and used the account within the trial and canceled it. Somehow the subscription was reinstated! The company can see clearly that I havent used the account since then and yet blatantly refuse to give my money back! This is FRAUD! what you are doing and you dont leave your customers other option than complain, leave bad reviews and even take the legal path forward. You must send my money back into my account ASAP. This is unacceptable!

      I signed up for a trial membership to get an eviction letter for my property, on 10-01-23 and they charged me $35.00 before the trial membership had even expired. Also, when they did that I couldn't even still use the website to do anything more, which means I paid for it and couldn't use at all.

      As checked your account records, you had updated the Last Will and Testament document on October 12, 2023. It looks like you have access to your LawDepot account without login or technical issue.

      Based on our record, we had provided a one-time courtesy refund for you on August 3, 2023. Therefore, we are unable to provide a refund to you for this time.

      I am sorry for the information you got when you called in you did cancel your account on May 26, 2022, when your credit card failed.
      On May 24, 2023, you signed up for a new Free Trial and this was never canceled. We sent you a reminder email on June 1, 2023, that this account was still active.
      We did cancel this for you on Aug 18, 2023, as per the terms of use once it goes to a monthly subscription, we do not refund the charges we give you access for the month.

      I am rejecting this response because: I cancelled this service in 2022.  I logged in to find out why I was being charged when I had not activity on this account since 2022.  I would not like to have to get legal involved. But I clearly previously cancelled this service I have not used it in any manner since 2022.  I have the documentation to prove the cancellation and there is no activity from me on this account since then.  If I cant have a reasonable refund via this complaint model I will seek legal remedies for FRAUD.

I have legal documents to prove I have had not access to this service in 2023.  Im not goin to accept any further back and forth Ive provided documents to counsel and dispute all charges with credit card company see them in litigation.

      I subscribed to this in 2021 - I started documents and then was told by legal they were not correct - I canceled - several times. I tried to have my credit card stop - they cannot - I am going to have to get a new ** ** and cancel this card as they charge every month and I cannot seem to get a "live" person to speak to or any answers for a resolution

      Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm ET you can contact us by phone or chat. You can also email us 24 hrs a day, and we get back to you within one business day.
      As we did not get a notification that you wanted to cancel your account until now so, your account stayed active.
      I have now canceled your account and issued you a courtesy refund for the last 4 months. You should see that go back into your bank account within the next 5 business days.

      There seems to be a common thread to the issues with Law Depot. I also purchased a trial membership and cancelled my trial membership within 7 days or 1-Week Free Trial. A very small detail which is worth $40+ is that there is a time stamp of this enrollment/subscription. Although I DID cancel within 7 days, I just happened to be 5 hours later than the purchase time stamp, and LawDepot was able to charge me $44.07!!!

      I signed up for a free trial and was charged the month of March, April, May, June and July at 40.95$ per month. The site falsely advertised the FREE TRIAL, and was NOT supposed to be a recurring payment. In total that is 40.95$ x 5 months which is 204.75$ for a single non-notarized document that isn’t valid in Quebec! Totally unacceptable!

      Hello ********,

      Our records indicate you signed up for a 1 Week Free Trial on March 17, 2023, to create a Last Will and Testament.   This Will did have a Notary signature on the bottom making it valid in Quebec. 
      Had you contacted us to help with the notary signatures we would have canceled your account for you as well.
      We did inform you twice throughout the checkout process that you would need to cancel, or it would be $39.00/month you can cancel anytime with no obligations.
      We then asked you to print out a receipt with the date and time to cancel your account at the bottom.  We immediately sent you a confirmation email with the date and time to cancel in bold print.
      We followed this up with a reminder email that your account was still open on March 25, 2023.  After that, it was on your credit card statement every month.
      I have attached a copy of the screens that you saw your receipt and email sent to.
      We did refund your current charge as a courtesy.  We will not be refunding anything further.
