Where to begin. Enrolled and began in CyberSecurity Specialist course in March 2021. It started out ok, although connecting with admin or support was difficult and it showed early on. Ill just list what happened. Found out that CDI is not accredited until after. (my fault for not doing my research) Was told funding would more than cover my expenses while I attended. (it isnt even close) Certification vouchers for our industry were not given to us. A select few got some but most didnt even know they were there. For the last 4 months of our course, we had no instructor. No live classes. Nothing. As students we would talk amongst ourselves to keep moving forward in hopes CDI would at least let us know what was going on. The practicum I took, didnt even implement 1 single part of what I was taught. Was like taking a pair of skates to go to the mall. It just didnt fit. The price for books is beyond ridiculous, especially when I was able to find the exact ones online for free for the first 4 months of this course. Ya, FREE. SInce I completed the non-accredited course, I have applied at nearly 200 places and job postings online. Not a single followup or interview. Then, a possible employer on a business platform told me I might have better luck if I took CDI credentials OFF my resume. The disappointment and disbelief has nearly crushed my hope for a brighter future. Do NOT enroll at CDI or any other 'school for profit' owned by the ******* *****.
