My husband and I had a furnace installed by shift air mechanical 9 years ago. It included a 10 year warranty on parts and service. We have had nothing but problems with the furnace since the day it was installed. It completely stops running every, single winter. The list of problems is too long to even type but the furnace has basically been rebuilt and it has leaked CO. The furnace *** have been a lemon but the warranty service that we have received from this company has been terrible. We have since found out the there was likely issues with the original installation that *** have caused so many problems and has cost us so much money. And yes, we have paid $$$ having to have the repair guys come out to fix it even though its under full warranty. Their after hours service that was advertised when we purchased this furnace is a joke. You will be lucky to get a response from the on call worker. And if youre lucky youll get a response from the owner of the company saying sorry man, I cant help you. We ended up having a new furnace installed by a different company 1 year short of our 10 year warranty being up on the furnace shift air installed. The best decision we made! Shop elsewhere! We do not recommend shift air!

To whom it may concern to responding to the above claim against Shift Air Mechanical. ********************* and his wife had a York YP9C modulating furnace installed in their SE residents. The unit was inspected from the *************** and passed no problem. The warranty that the above claim was a 1 year labor warranty from date of installation and a 10 years parts warranty that Shift Air registered for the customer. This is a standard practice by the company. The furnace has several warranty issues that were handled and the labor on almost all jobs excluding a heat exchanger replacement we covered if not entirely from Shift Air it was fairly billed. The heat exchanger on this furnace went 8 years into the furnaces life we offered a new furnace at cost plus labor for this client at this time they choose to replace the heat exchanger and pay the labor. We couldnt have tried harder to change there minds. Never the less we completed the job did the warranty and continued on. The next call that we had was ***** months later at 3:30 am on a -25 night. We attended site by 9:30 am the next day as the furnace had lit back up around 4:45 am. We spent 20 minutes on the phone with the client as well and tried to call another York dealer who is in that end of the city with no response. We also chatted with the client after the amazing review from above and sent a cheque for the amount of the service call that was completed. The after hours call centre had picked up the phone and we responded as best as we could. We are happy that we were able to pay back the money. Thanks.

Poor service,not professional,stay away and save your money,no warranty on the installation/service/products,totally rip off.

This client never did any maintenance on any equipment air conditioning equipment. The system was plugged with poplar fluff, dirt and leaves. We had tried to get the client to complete this but they never wanted to complete this service.
