I inquired for a 1-bedroom apartment, I corresponded with the office staff, who told me they had an apartment available for me by 3/1/2022, I was told to fill out an application to secure the apartment, a month before the current tenant moved out, after paying $40 fee for the application, I was contacted again via email, to make a deposit of $1050. which I did, as the days got closer to 3/1/22, I contacted diversified funding, because I did not receive a lease, and was supposed to move in less than week. The office staff, assured me the lease will be sent, but also told me the current tenant is not moving out on the day previously planned, so my move in date will be delayed and i need to ask my current landlord to extend my move out date, in which I made that arrangement, I got another call from ****, who stated I need to extend it second time in which I could not , because my current landlord had a tenant lined up to move in, I contacted **** and let her know I will not go forward with the apartment since the move in date keeps changing, and I was paying rent for another at my current address, and she wanted me to do the same at a new apartment that I am not living in she became upset, I requested a full return of my deposit, she told me she will not give it back to me, I told her, her manger told me, I can have a refund if I change my mind, she declined that information and told me I was crazy, I have sent a letter to DFI corporate office, and called the office to speak with someone regarding this issue with no return call or response from my letter.
