My car broke down and AAA wouldnt tow my car anywhere else but here. Turns out what was wrong with my car, they quoted me OVER $6000 for parts only with one not being available in the US. Had it towed somewhere more local to me and got it done for under $2000. I believe they tried to take advantage of me because I am a woman and apparently dont know anything. After paying diagnoses fee over the phone because I am not local, I never received my receipt or written quote for repairs via email as told I would. I would not recommend this business AT ALL.

10/05/22: Vehicle is a **** 2011 Sorento with 107k miles on it. On 01/22/22 the vehicle was towed in by AAA, as we are a AAA Approved Repair Facility. AAA does not insist on a vehicle being towed to us, they offer customers to be towed to the local AAA affiliated repair facility if they are not from the area. Upon arrival, one of our technicians scanned for codes and duplicated the issue of lack of power. The codes present were P2096; P2196 and P0170. On customer's copy of invoice "VEHICLE STARTS AND RUNS BUT AS SOON AS LOAD IS PUT ON IT, IT BOGS DOWN, EXHAUST CATALYTIC CONVERTER IS PLUGGED AND SUFFOCATING ENGINE; VEHICLE HAS TWO (2) "CAT"s - ONE AT ENGINE MANIFOLD AND SECOND DOWN STREAM; PRIMARY CAT AT MANIFOLD HAS FAILED, HOWEVER, SUGGEST SECONDARY CAT WITH REPAIR AS DOWNSTREAM FROM MAIN CAT AND DAMAGE MORE THAN LIKELY HAS DAMAGED THAT CAT AS WELL ... CONFIRMED SOME COMBINATION OF CATALYTIC CONVERTER(S), ***************** SENSOR(S) - B1, ******** S2 NEEDED ... REAR CAT COULD BE PARTIALLY INTERNALLY INSPECTED ONCE DISCONNECTED TO DETERMINE CONDITION". Advised customer that ********************** could be as much as $6,000.00. I provided the written estimate of parts from **************** to customer so they could see the part costs and lists. At that time one of converters was on national back order from *** with no ETA. The customer received a $69 AAA discount on her invoice, and we waived all storage fees ($50/day) as a courtesy. The vehicle was towed out 02/01/22. We also provided a complementary inspection report to customer. There was no high pressure sales tactics involved or attempting of taking advantage of a customer - male or female - involved. In fact we presents a great deal of information ... including a report showing our cost of parts! I also personally suggested that the customer look at the value of vehicle before any work be performed at any repair facility. If another repair facility was able to perform the repair for "$2k", I can only speculate that they used an aftermarket non-compliant catalytic converter that does not meet ************* emission standards AND upon disassembly they confirmed that the rear catalytic converter was not needed at that time. We had also advised the customer that rear brakes and tires would be needed shortly and there were a multitude of fluid leaks ... which although not directly related to the immediate concern ... would/could present additional out of pocket expenses for the customer.
