      Forgive the rant, but I have NEVER experienced the terrible service that I just got from TRI-CITY SALES when trying to buy a new washer and dryer. I have never bought a washer before and loved a washer and dryer that they had on the floor. I purchased the set last week and after that, it went downhill. All promises of follow-up for delivery were false and I had to call them several times, and NO one ever mentioned that I had to measure the drip pan for the washer. I mean, they are professionals...how would I know this? Anyway, when the appliances arrived, the delivery guys wouldn't install the washer since my drip pan was too small. I called the manager and left a message to call me, mentioning that he should consider speaking to the salesperson and possibly firing her for mishandling this. He never called back. I called the store and spoke with a salesman who wouldn't give me a straight answer about the next steps to follow. Finally, in frustration, I asked for a refund and gave him my credit card. Nothing happened. After waiting a few hours, I retried the store and spoke with someone who said she would try to get through to them. An hour later, I picked up the phone to someone screaming at me. I could barely make out what he was saying but did catch that "I have some responsibility in this." What? they didn't tell me what I need for my washer. He screamed that he was refunding the money, minus the delivery. "Take me to court," he said and hung up on me. He has a LOT to learn about customer service! The whole thing was a miserable experience and I would advise anyone NOT to shop there. Oh, and did I mention that they promised to call a half hour before delivery...naturally, they didn't didn't, and I was walking my dog. UGH.I have disputed the delivery charge with my credit card company and they were extremely sympathetic. I feel bad about reporting a smaller, family business, but customers deserve a whole lot more in terms of courtesy.
