Sept 2023 I was scheduled for a "go by". Which means I dont have to be present. But if they needed me Im 5 minutes away. (I wasnt thinking I needed to be readily available all day). It was scheduled for 9AM, I went anyway, and no one showed up. Oscar calls me a couple hours later demanding I go to the house at 3PM because he needs me to tell him what needs to be done. I said I cant make it at that time because I had made plans. And they only do quotes on Saturdays. I would have called the office right away for my money back but they are not open. Fast forward to Monday I get it sorted out that he "did" go by and they were working up a quote. I get the quote and to me it seems like I cant trust the quote because of all the confusion and miscommunication, did he go? Is he qualified? I email them back the situation and say I want my $97 back. We go back and forth and then the Owner I guess, ***, calls me and says "we did everything you asked. It seems to me that you just wanted a quote and didn't want to pay for it." This is when I get pissed. So now you are calling me cheap. That is absolutely not the case. In fact, in my emails I said how excited I was that they were recommended to me and I even suggested to reach out to the foundation company I am using for possible business collaboration. Im a firm believer in paying someone for what they do but how can I trust this quote? It all doesnt feel right. So Mr. ***, judging by the way you spoke to me, and evidently what you did to the other lady that had a complaint, seems like YOU sir are the cheap one. BE A GOOD PERSON.

In February 2023, following a previous onsite meeting with a Green Escapes representative, I signed a proposal for grade work, made a deposit. In April 2023, I was notified by text message of a Green Escapes employee, ****, that my grass is too tall to do the work. He asked me if the grass would be cut. I answered the grass had grown in the 8 weeks since I signed to have the land graded, and the reason I wanted to grade the property was to make the land smooth enough to mow. I asked could I just get my deposit back since they wanted me to find a business to mow the grass and were not going to grade the property. He then texted a clause from the proposal I signed that said I was responsible to scalp all existing grass prior to their arrival. When I signed the proposal in February, the grass was short and not an issue. Since Green Escapes is telling me to find another company to mow it, I want my deposit back. I believed this company to be reputable and would take the initiative, since they did not perform the service in a timely manner when the grass was low in February, but waited until April, to knock down or mow existing grass in order to grade the grassy pasture. They ARE a landscaping contractor. And if I DID hire another business to “scalp” the grass, how was I to know when these workers would return to complete the work since they had waited 8 weeks since the original proposal was signed? Would my grass grow once again by the time they got back around to my project? The original representative had said the work could not be done if the ground was wet. So now I was at the point of needing the property dry AND scalped for the project to be complete. The Green Escapes landscaping contractors will not complete this project and will not do the right thing and return my deposit of $513.52. The job of grading my land has become too complicated and inconsistent for me as well as their working crew.
