      I purchased a Thermador Stainless Steel 48" gas Range with 6 burners and griddle costing approximately $12,000 for a new build house. I had to wait months for the stove to arrive. I received a phone call from the store that the stove has been there for months. When the stove was delivered the side panel of the stove was bashed in. Their solution/policy was to replace the side panel. The box the strove was in was heavily damaged and it was obvious that the stove had been dropped or the stove took a hard hit to the side. Since the stove was in their possession for months, they should have inspected the stove when it was loaded for delivery. I did not buy a scratch and dent product. I bought a new undamaged stove and paid full retail price for the stove. The stove should be replaced, because there are a lot of internal parts that are probably damaged and will give us trouble in the future. Gorman will not replace the stove. It is not their policy, so I paid full price for a damaged stove that will cost me more money in repairs in the future. I also bought two microwaves, a freezer and refrigerator, ice maker, two dishwashers, and light fixtures for the new house, but loyalty means nothing to Gorman. Regards, **** * *** *********

      The Thermador unit that was purchased from us was ordered in a timely manner for them to avoid a price increase. The customer was new construction, so to honor our builder we agreed to hold it here until it was needed on the job. The box was not damaged, therefore no inspection was needed before leaving the building. It is best for shipping purposes for units to stay in tack while also being stored for a longer period of time. When the unit was going to be installed by the builder, cosmetics damages were noticed. A side panel needed to be replaced. This panel should be coming in any day now to proceed with getting the customer and builder taken care of. Pictures of the damages can be provided if needed. Gorman Bros was under the impression that this was the resolution to get it taken care of?? We tried calling the customer multiple times with no response back.

      We purchased a gas griddle for our outdoor kitchen. We specifically ordered a natural gas appliance and when the appliance arrived at the residence It was found that it was set up from the factory as a liquid, propane fuel source, the plumber that we are using told us that he could not convert it to natural gas as he would be accepting reliability in the event something went wrong, I called Gorman brothers and informed them of this and they informed me that it comes from the factory set up for liquid propane but that there are instructions to convert it to natural gas when I told them that our plumbers wouldn’t do it for the liability reasons, they told us that it was not their problem, and that we should’ve known ahead of time, even though it was never told to us that it comes from the factory set up as liquid propane And nothing in the writing told us that either when I called Gorman brothers and spoke with the owner he informed me that he sold thousands of these and he has never ran into this problem. However, he also admitted that he didn’t know that they all come from the factory set up for liquid propane , so not only is Gorman brothers, misleading customers they are not properly informed about the products that they are selling. They refuse to send out a technician to convert the product over even though they tried to convince me that it was a simple fix but that they couldn’t do it for insurance reasons and so we would have to pay another company to come convert it at the end of the day this is an unethical business motto, and we will never do business with Gorman brothers again, but lastly, I think it is very misleading to sell products to people without fully disclosing every detail, and not offering to fix the problem they did, however, say they would take the item back for a full refund but because we are so close to getting our certificate of occupancy for our new home build, we are stuck with the current appliances.

      The customer service was exceptional as they kept me updated thought the entire process. I had a question about my new range and Lauren and the entire Gorman Brothers team responded promptly and professionally. Overall my experience with Forman Brothers was outstanding, 5 stars and I cannot wait for my next appliance purchase from them. K. Nettles
