Had my roof replaced, when they accepted my $7000 payment they told me they would look after any issues if there were any. When it leaked that winter I called them and they told me it was my problem. Will not use them again, and would not recommend them. Al Moncton,NB

In early 2019 there was an ice storm from which we had numerous calls from homeowners with water back up problems, Mr. Hawkes was one of those callers. At that time Mr. Hawkes' roof was covered with an ice layer which made it impossible to do anything without causing damage making the problem worse. This was explained to Mr. Hawkes and he was told that the roof would be inspected when weather conditions improved. At a later date Mr. Hawkes' roof was inspected and no fault in the installation was found. The IKO roofing manufacturer was contacted to have a rep inspect the roof and no fault was found after that inspection either. Mr. Hawkes' roof replacement was done in early November 2018. The roof pitch is a 3”/12” pitch which is considered a low slope roof therefore a lo-slope application method is required. The lo-slope method requires a layer of ice & water shield over the complete roof deck before installing the shingles, which was done. It was concluded that since the roof was installed in November, the ice & water shield probably did not bond which caused water penetration when the ice surface melted. This theory was explained to Mr. Hawkes and he was told that when the weather warmed up that the ice & water shield should bond and that the problem should not occur again. When Mr. Hawkes negatively reviewed our work in December 2023 he was contacted to discuss the issue. His frustration that we were unable to help when the problem occurred due to weather conditions was understandable. The subsequent roof inspections indicated that roof installation had been well done and Mr. Hawkes confirmed that he's never had another problem since 2019.
