I have complained to Canada Homes For Rent about smoking (non smoking rental) going on in the unit behind/under us. It travels through the poorly fixed and cracked walls into our bedroom. Shortly after another unit moved in infront/under us. They have 4 dogs, I believe to be illegal unless approved by CHFR. The owners do not take their dogs outside ever, leaving them to deficate and urinate inside. The smell is overwhelming in the foyer between our two doors and also travels into our unit. After a formal complaint on the Friday, they advised on the Monday the 28th they would serve an entry notice for between 1-4. The employee who was supposed to do the inspection called in and I was only informed after I called at 345 that he was out sick and they would have to reschedule. When I asked for a supervisors number they said the only two people are also out sick. This has caused a lot of stress for my girlfriend and I, also our dog who is terrified of the continuous barking and urine smell. We pay decent money now to live in a disgusting and loud environment and have landlords who take forever to do anything and usually multiple times due to unqualified workers. We already had them out 5 times to fix hot water and another 3 times to fix leaky doors and windows. If there is any other info you need feel free to call me at *** *** ****.
