      Terrible service!!! To cancel you will have to go all around the world just for them to cancel your service I do not remember this company!!! I canceled my service and a few days later they called me saying well if you dont like your new service provider you can always come back I look on my bank statement and Im being charged again and I dont even own their equipment anymore. Of course they provided a reason they could not refund the months I had been charged, Please do not waist your time, there are cheaper better quality services available.

      Very poor service and follow up. I cancelled my contract within the 3 business days and verified that ******* received my canceled contract. Over 20 days past and repeated follow up calls to *******'s account manager, I still did not receive a call back or was never contacted. The positive news according to the canceled contract is that I get to keep all the equipment (over $4K).

      I have been a customer of ********************** for over 5 years. I recently moved and *** from the *************** assisted me in setting up equipment. I paid $1324 on June 9 and had my service started. However, I soon started receiving paper bills from ADT saying my payment is past due while Ackerman Security is debiting my checking account monthly and even double dipped the month of July. I called ADT a few weeks after this and was on the phone for over 2 hours and spoke with 10 different people. Due to the merger or buyout that occurred between Ackerman and ADT, my current address was unable to be found. I was told that Ackerman was debiting my account and ADT was monitoring my home. I requested to speak to a supervisor and she was the most rude employee. They were unable to help me with my request and the call disconnected. In contrast, ACKERMAN doesn't even return messages or answer calls. After several weeks of going back and forth between ADT, I received a refund from ADT. However, recently, my Alarm system posted a 103 COM message. I am unable to set my alarm, the ** APP no longer works and apparently, the cellular connector is expired because it could be a 3G. This makes no sense since the system is f months old. Again ADT can not find my account or even thinks I am being monitored. To pay monthly $35.45 for services not rendered is not how you do business. Regarding the replies I have read from the NEW ACKERMAN stating that they have nothing to do for us and are sorry for our troubles that I have seen, I have a solution. You CAN do something for your newly acquired families. You can re route our information to an actual monitoring center and do what you are paid to do. You can refund our money. You involved yourself in a shady business deal. Its time for damage control. If I could give ACKERMAN security less than 1 star, I absolutely would. ADT is less than helpful and ACKERMAN is terrible. I hope you sleep well at night because I do not.

      I have been an Ackerman customer for 23 years. The first I found out that my account had been sold to ADT was when I received a friendly reminder from ADT that my credit card info needed to be updated for autopay billing. Thus I was very surprised to learn I was now a ADT customer. Shortly thereafter I received a text from ADT stating my system was no longer sending a signal to the monitoring service. Of course this necessitated a home tech visit during which ADT concluded that a) my system needed at least a $500 upgrade and b) to receive monitoring service I would need to sign a 3 year non-cancellable service contract. I cancelled my ADT account which ADT seemed more than happy to do, as all they want is service contracts. My complaint is directed toward Ackerman for not notifying me in the first place and for not taking some responsibility with ADT to assure that Ackerman customers would be smoothly transitioned without service interruption and significant financial impacts. Ackerman, this was irresponsible and unethical business practice, hence this posting to warn your current and prospective customers.

      I have been with A** since **** and while the Covid began I paid ahead 3 mos. And have paid since then as late as July of this year. A** is now owned by ADT. I found out when I called Loud SECURITY. I moved to them 7.29.22 and was just informed to notify them of my move which I just got off the phone. I paid ahead and they day I owe for august when I already paid them. I have every receipt from **** to now. I should not have a **** for this month. I am no longer a Ackerman customer/ADT. The billing practices of ********************** is deceitful. I told the customer service rep. **** I called in June.Please know. I don't owe ADT any funds for July or August. As I mention earlier. I paid ahead.

      This company is closing and selling customer accounts to ADT who will pursue collection of accounts / contract balances in full if the customer decides not to retain ADT for ********************** monitoring. I signed ** in March 2022 and my account was sold in June. ADT says I owe them $700+ to cancel service. I don't care what "assumability" language is in an alarm monitoring contract - this is a classic bait and switch scheme and deceptive business practice that eliminates a customer's choice. I have since changed service to another local company (as Ackerman was) and am only further convicted about that decision after dealing with ADT customer service to resolve this issue

      My desire to cancel our security services after multiple calls, multiple agents, and multiple explanations as to how to cancel; we were redirected numerous times yet without a confirmed resolution. We proceeded to write to the **** loyalty department, to cancel. This, too, went without a response, and we continue to get invoices when we have clearly explained we will not pay for the services or provide additional contact time. The exceptional poor customer service from this company is astounding. We want to ensure no further contact from them and confirm they resolve any credit issues created. Thank you

      Terrible customer service. I did not receive service from them in months but was continuously. Difficult to get cancelled and was not informed that my contract was ending. Poor customer service and overpriced. Use any other company but this one.

      They are wonderful about starting your service. But cannot get in touch with someone about cancelling. As far as I'm concerned, they've broken the contract.

      I am filing a complaint against Ackerman as this company sent me an invoice on 11/1/21 for $192.26 and I cancelled my service with them in Feb of 2021 and I DID NOT SIGN any documents for new service since then. After I cancelled my service on 2/16/21, I called Ackerman on 10/26/21 and spoke to someone in the loyalty department and requested a wireless upgrade at no cost to me. The person said we can have someone come out and install the wireless upgrade. The technician came out on 11/10/21 and stated that the wireless upgrade you want is going to cost you money out of my pocket. I told the tech , ************** or Beach, that the your rep stated that it wasn't going to cost me anything and the tech said it wasn't anything he can do and that I will have to call Ackerman because I can't install that wireless system.. I told him I will just go to ADT and that is what I did and it was installed on 12/20/21. Nothing was installed by Ackerman. I did not sign a document verifying new service. On 1/ 17/ 22 at 10 am , I received a text stating that I have a past due balance of $192.26 for acct # *****. Please note this was the first text I received after the tech came to my home and didn't install what I requested - a wireless upgrade. I was UPSET!! I spoke to ******* at Ackerman on 1/21/22 and *** on 2/2/22 and told both of them that I cancelled service in 2/21 and I received a text on 1/17/22 and an invoice via mail stating I owe that amount. I told both of them that I wanted this rectified IMMEDIATELY and they said MY issue will be escalated to management. Never heard from anyone. This was the first text I received after the tech came to my home and didn't install what I requested - a wireless upgrade. Afterwards, on 2/9/ 22 at 10:47 am , I received another text message stating that I have a past due balance of $288.39. I spoke to **************** last week and he said my service was reactivated 10/26. That is incorrect! No signature from me and no wireless install
