All the reviews you read about this company true! I purchased my ***** and it failed within first year. Do not buy from them. They refurbish old equipment and resell with cheap parts. Not reliable.. keep your hard earned money or learn the hard way like I did.

I bought the platinum salt cell from sps, because of the information video I watch about it and most of all the 5 year warranty. After using it a few months it went bad and I paid $25 to send it back to get a replacement that again lasted only a few months. They told me to ship it back for a replacement which was another $25. After waiting over three weeks i called and they said it needed to be tracked down and that the warranty department had to check it out. I was past to The manager *** who told me he did not have any information about send me a new one and was waiting on the owner to give him the ok to send a replacement . Another week goes by and I call back but I cant get through with my phone. I try another phone and was able to get a hold of *** and they tell me they dont know why my phone can no longer call them and that he still does not have information and that he he promises to call back that day and does not. I try to call back the next on the second phone use and it is now blocked too. I call back on a third different phone and get through and customer service lady tells me she doesnt know why all the phone have trouble connecting to them and that they dont block numbers. She then tells me *** is on a break for 20 minutes and will get back to me in my phone. Of course I get no return call back from and they still have my cell and money and I have nothing. Super frustrated and can not believe this is happing.

As stated by many others here, the warranty on their salt cells is essentially a sham. They claim to have a 5 year pro-rated warranty, which on the surface, seems pretty good. However, if your salt cell fails within this 5 year period (and it will), god help you. First, you have to fork out your own money to send the faulty cell back to them. After that, the silence and eventual run-around starts. Once you finally get them to respond, you find out that the pro-rated discount on a replacement cell is a percentage of the inflated "retail" price of the cell. So I paid $359 for a new salt cell that they claim has a retail price of $899. Once I finally got my warranty replacement invoice for a cell that failed at the 3 year ***** they want me to pay $623 for it. So getting a replacement cell on a pro-rated warranty is almost twice the price of just buying a new one. Do not give these people your business, they are scam artists at best.

Who would use BBB? They're a fee-charging business, not an 'independent review' location. So of course you only see complaints. BBB need to pack up & go home.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience regarding a warranty claim for a salt cell purchased from the Salt Pool store. On March 2 2024 I purchased a salt cell from your store. Despite being only two years old, the cell has malfunctioned. To initiate the warranty claim process, I was subjected to a burdensome series of requirements, including providing a current water test, sending videos, and submitting photos.After jumping through these unnecessary hoops, I was informed that to obtain a replacement salt cell under warranty, I would be required to pay a fee of $455. This is absolutely absurd, especially considering that purchasing a brand new salt cell from your store would only cost $359 including shipping. Such a resolution is not only unacceptable but also demonstrates a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. I am appalled by the level of inconvenience and financial burden imposed on me as a customer. Please do not BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Salt cell lasted one year and then warrant replacement was 267 plus tax. Dont trust them. No way they deserve any business.

This company does not even deserve 1 star. They lure you in with a good price and then the cells only last about a year. Then they charge a percentage of full retail to replace it. That usually is more than their discounted price they sell them for. All of this happens if you can even get in touch with them.

Salt pool store sells crappy products, don't cover the cost of shipping crappy items back to them and only give a store credit. **************** is terrible so why would I want to do business with them again. I want my money back and the shipping costs incurred also.

I strongly recommend that you do NOT buy from this company. Like others who have posted here, I too purchased a salt cell that died within a few months. Warranty Replacement was on a prorated basis that was nearly the cost of a new one. Like an idiot, I ordered a replacement from them, not wanting to wait any longer than necessary to get my pool back in order. The new one was DOA. I contacted them immediately and jumped through all of the hoops to get a refund. And there are a LOT of hoops, same box, same packing, special shipping labels, photos sent, copies of all invoices and so on. Luckily, I'd had a feeling I might need all of that and had held onto it. They tried to issue me an "in store credit" which is nowhere mentioned in their returns policy. Rather than fighting them further, I filed a claim through PayPal. And that is why I use PP, because in a case like this, they've got your back. Salt Pool Store did not respond to the PP inquiry and within two weeks I was issued a full refund of $386. Steer clear of this company, their product is iffy and their business practices are underhanded and shiesty. They ship from AU, poorly packed and will try to blow you off if you have a problem.

The worst experience ever! I ordered the ************** 3 Replacement Besides not fitting right and leaking at first, I did get it to work. It lasted less than a year! Their warranty includes removing the unit and sending it back! How do you run the pool pump? And get this, the unit they eventually sent back was the defective one I sent them! I wanted a refund but thats not how we do I it **************** is basically non existent. Once they knew I was upset at having to send my unit back first, they blocked my number!! Who does that!? NEVER AGAIN! This company is a sham.
