In October of 2018 my roof was replaced by Northwest. From 2018 to 2022 the entire corner of my dwelling had deteriorated with water decay. In December of 22 I suffered a stroke, and it took about 6 months of rehab before regaining my correct eyesight and balance to tackle this issue.In May of 2023 I contacted *** regarding the damage. It took almost 3 weeks before anyone would even come out and look at the damage. No drip edge or flashing were present, and the roofers left a gap wide enough to put ones hand through it. It takes a few years for outside water damage to be detected. I received nothing but excuses, defensive posturing, comments: you are just now finding this out? So much for his bragging about being trustworthy, reputable, and concern for his reputation in the area. I am sending a written complaint to your offices with pictures that cannot be attached here. They finally had a person come out and inspect the damage. The situation was acknowledged along with criticism about the gutter not hanging right. The facia was rotted. I was contacted by a woman who said the damage had to be referred to their insurance company and that I had not been charged for drip edge, as if I am supposed to forgive the shoddy workmanship because of their poor business acumen. They were paid for everything they billed and their glad hands were anxious to receive the checks with a smile. Never heard another word. I finally told them to forget it, and that I would have the damage repaired.I paid $750.00 for a ********* to help me rebuild the four ***********, install plastic wood facia, new plywood for the soffit and reattach the gutter. The purpose of this complaint is not for recovery of my expense; rather it is to warn prospective customers that if something goes wrong, you are on your own. They will give you a hard time, and they do not stand behind their work.
