I had a massive bee, wasp, hornet invasion on my roof of a 3400 sq ft house. I tried to resolve it myself, by purchasing every known bee/killer spray available at various stores and all it did was make the problem a million times worse. So I called every exterminator company within 50 miles that shows online as open 24/7 and handles emergency bee removal, no one would either answer the phone or come out. After spending 2 days on the phone, I called Orkin, out of *******. They booked me immediately and the super bee manager or the world **** out of ********** MA showed up within the hour. He provided exceptional service. Very neat, very polite, a positive personality, extremely respectful, highly knowledgeable, and kept at my roof until every last bee/hornet/wasp died. He told me to check back in 24 hours. I did and not one single bee/hornet/wasp could be found anywhere. **** will be my first call if I ever have another invasion anywhere on my properties.Review from Robin J

Misleading advertising and fraudulent business practices. Untrustworthy, untruthful, and dishonest behavior. ************* ************************************************ To Whom It May Concern:Regarding the issue of payment to follow-up with Rollins Corporation Orkin Pest Control, please be advised of the following: Services to be provided by Orkin Pest Control outlined in a contract for the specific purpose of elimination of rodent invasion in the residence. On two occasions Orkin representatives scheduled follow-up appointments. However, they were never seen on those two dates. In the first instance, when no one arrived, at the appointed time, reason given on the telephone call to inquire if anyone would be coming indicated, unable to locate the residence. The second scheduled appointment I was told, No one answered the doorbell. Well, as I was constantly looking out the window for the truck to pull upno one was ringing the doorbell and there was no Orkin truck on the *********, the really unexpected occurred. Without my knowledge, ***** was able to withdraw funds from my account in the amount of $1,000.00. Therefore, ***** has received more than a fair share for lack of service and absolutely no ********** is my intention to file a claim against Orkin Pest Control.(Mrs.) ******** ******* *************************************************Review from Bara R

I have a a quarterly contract. In June, 6/2024 Orkin was due to perform their inside and outside service. They performed the outside service but never performed the inside due to the lack of communication. No one was home without prior notice especially I was a Saturday only client. That all stopped a year ago. They come when they want without notice. I was charged the fee of ******, so they have my money without a complete service. Since June I have stayed home and waited for Orkin five times on many summer Saturdays. June 29th an appointment was made from 8:00-10:00. No one showed up. The office said they had no idea why the tech did not show. They did not have anyone to come until 8/17 with the time of 8:00-10:00 and again no show. I spoke to Shawuan .Next appointment was 8/24 at 2:00 and again no show. I spoke to *******. Then 8/31 a tech named ***** was definitely coming. He never showed.I spoke to ****** on 8/28 to set up the no show for 8/31. Called for appointment today 9/6 4:00-6:00 or 9/7. Representative was supposed to call 9/6 in the morning to verify. No one called. I called and I left a message. This company is terrible!!! My house had bugs all summer. Why have a contract if no one shows up to do the service. The branch manager doesn't even call you back!!!! So, ***** has my money without performing the service.Review from Ewelina G

Orkin is an absolute SCAM. I have never written a negative review in my life, but this company deserves it and then some. They TRICK you into a binding contract without an explanation that you are basically signing 2 contracts: one with ***** and one with the Rollins, ***** a company that makes sure you are making payments and if there is any issue with Orkin, Rollins washes their hands of it because they are just collecting payments. I have no issue with Rollins but ORKIN is an absolutely atrocious company that just wants an unsuspecting customer sign the paperwork - and then they are DONE! there is NO service provided after, phone calls aren't returned, emails are ignored, and salesman who lied to you, has been let go of by Orkin "for unknown reason". I am hoping that there is someone here who can maybe respond with an advice on how to start a class action lawsuit since there are so many unhappy customers.Review from Butch A

Called Orkin on 08/30/2024 to set up an appointment for yellow jacket removal, was told by ******** they would have someone to our place on 9/03/2024 between 2-4pm. I was very specific about what would be needed as the yellow jackets are about 20 feet off the ground and a ladder would be needed to get up to them. Received a call on 08/31/2024 from Service Tech ****** stating he had been in our area that day and Orkin had not notified him that there was another call in same or he would have come out that day. I reiterated that he would need at least a 20 foot ladder to get to these yellow jackets. He was like "no problem, I can be there between 2-4pm on 09/03/2023 and I will have the necessary equipment. Received confirmation of the appointment. On 09/03/2023, I get a call from ****** stating he could be there earlier but they don't carry ladders for safety reasons and all they could do was spray the nest from the outside. Advised we had been given misleading information by ******. He called the branch office and then I received a call from ***** and gave her ******** contact info and what he told us. She said they could have a team there on 09/04/2024 with the necessary equipment Advised unacceptable as special arrangements had to be made for someone to be at the property for today. I ended up cancelling the whole transaction. We have now gone with a local to the area company to resolve our issue. I will NEVER contact Orkin again for anything!!!! Absolutely horrible company literally a nightmare to deal ********** was the fifth time these dummies have stood me up and not done their job now I have to go through a hassle to fire them. Rearrange my schedule to accommodate them to come in and five no shows in a row. The mice are back worse than ever and Ive already given them over $500 I will not be living out the contract they teally **** I absolutely hatethis companyReview from Janette V

First let me say I have been an ***** customer since approximately 1998. For years I haven had many complaints however it is getting ridiculous. Orkin is supposed to be here every other month. I havent seen them since April. I have had to do my own pest control since then at additional cost. Only rarely do they let me know they are not coming. I usually have to call. I cant get them to come in between calls like they are supposed to. Their slogan is a lie. Not sure if I have it exactly but it goes if there is a problem between appointments they will be at your doorstep. They arent satisfied until the customer is happy. In the last year I have had to contact them about lack of service. At times Ive requested to speak to a manager on occasion they might call me back. They were supposed to be here again today. No message no phone call saying they werent coming. I had to call. The tech I had was with the company for several Years and he quit. I think they need to be looked into.Rollins, Inc. Response

The local branch in NJ ignores every attempt we've made to contact them. We've had issues outside of our normal service and they never responded. We tried calling the Orkin call center, but all they do is transfer us back to the local branch, who never responds. The customer service was so awful that we decided to cancel our service. The bigger problem is that the local branch refuses to acknowledge our cancellation from ~2 months ago and continues to charge us. All I can do now is continue to dispute these charges through my credit card company because no one will get back to us.Absolutely awful.
