BEWARE!!! DO NOT USE NATIONAL MOVERS IN ********, **. I AM FILING A COMPLAINT AGAINT NATIONAL MOVERS COMPANY. This is NOT a reputable company and they ruined a bedroom suit that cost over $4000! National Movers **** up a contract that I signed that stated that my furniture delivery would include and I quote from THEIR contract, Professional Door to Door Service, Disassembly and Reassembly of furniture required for safe movement, as well as Placement of furniture at new location. ***** was asked to put furniture in the bedroom on the first floor of the house. The mover stated that he was "by himself and was only putting everything in the garage." This is the 1st violation of the contract. Also, several pieces of the furniture were damaged and broken. The mover stood the nightstands and the dresser on their tops which shattered the granite on two of the nightstands thus making the bedroom suite unusable unless I can match up the granite and get it replaced. This is the 2nd violation of the contract. This was my deceased aunt's furniture and it was not necessary that it was damaged if proper care and if an additional person were there to help the mover unload it. There is no way with the money that there was only ONE person on the truck to unload it. ***** also tried to get me to pay for the blankets that the furniture was wrapped in. We told him no and so he just left the blankets on the furniture. I think he knew he had damaged the furniture and tried to hide it by leaving blankets on and trying to get us to pay for it. National Movers were paid in full. I am requesting that our moving expenses for this transaction be reimbursed and also I am filing a claim for my furniture. The granite will have to be replaced and matched to the only piece the mover didn't break as well as the repairing of several broken pieces! This furniture could have arrived at my home safely had the mover used common sense. This company is not reputable and should close!Review from Elizabeth T

This company is the worst, slimiest salesman I've dealt with in years! Their supposed binding estimate, which was broken in to three payments, was suspiciously low. But their three payments were half up front (red flag), and the other half in two payments, which added up to more than their total estimate. I spent 15 minutes explaining what academics/writers do and that, in fact, it was totally reasonable that we would have a ton of boxes with books and more boxes than a typical move. And that renters might not have any kitchen appliances to move--somehow the salesperson did not believe that either. The salesperson spent a LOT of time telling me how wonderful he was and easy to talk to, which I guess was because he doesn't listen. Then when I told him I was only gathering quotes, he informed me rather harshly that they couldn't hold an estimate unless I paid immediately so it would be canceled. My spidey senses came crashing in and I told them, fine, cancel it then if that's your policy. One week later, they called to 'confirm details' and the original salesperson informed me that he had never said that. He either lied during the estimate or he lied a week later--and then he kept pushing for me to pay, that he would have followed up if he knew I didn't pay--all a direct contradiction of the original conversation. They are dishonest, they have dozens and dozens of *** complaints, and they are super pushy and don't listen well. Just don't arrange for them to arrange for a mover for you, and go with someone who doesn't have a bunch of *** complaints (you can check through their *** number on the *** site). I selected one star only because it's required.Review from Nick S

DO NOT USE THIS BROKERAGE! They are intentionally low-balling and under-evaluating their quotes to win business, then slam you with hidden fees and binding contracts with no way out.******, the sales rep we worked with, assured us after talking through the specifics of our apartment complex layout that at most, we may see a small fee. He failed to mention that a service fee for the elevator, as well as distance traveled over 75 feet, would amount to almost $300 over the estimate. It was an intentional omission, and when called on it he deflected and tried to shrug off responsibility.*****, the estimator on our packing job, underquoted the cubic feet we would need by 150 ft^3, at $4 per ft^3, leading to an additional $600 in overages despite all the furniture and boxes being standard sizes, with no add ons, for a small 2 bedroom apartment. She failed to accept any responsibility and blamed their computer model. In total, almost $1,000 in fees, significantly offsetting their sticker price difference vs. the competition. After speaking with their customer ********************** reps, it's clear this is an intentional predatory business practice to lure in customers, and they have no interest in real customer satisfaction. They will try to blame the movers for the packing job, but National Moving Service is the one to blame. Look elsewhere for moving services!Review from Lynn A

National Moving Service told me it would cost a certain price, but it was almost double than what the contract stated even though we left behind an entire master bedroom. But this was just the beginning. To make matters worse, the subcontractors that National Moving Company hired, Home and Office Movers, were terrible. They were very dishonest. They charged ** for a 5 piece sectional couch when it was only 3 pieces. They charged an extra $500 for tape and paper. I told them I would get my own tape and paper. So, they took all the boxes out of the truck and said, sorry we can't move you then. Our flight left the next day so we had no choice but to keep paying them. And they knew that we had to leave the next day, so they took advantage of that. But the biggest problem was that I had a contract from National Moving Company stating my furniture would be stored for 30 days and redeliver with no extra charge GAURANTEED. That did not happen either. My furniture was delivered while we were in *****. They refused to hold it for the ******************** the contract. Not unless I came up with even more money. I called National Movers to tell them what their subcontractors were doing and that they wouldn't hold our furniture for ******************** the contract. National Movers said that all their job was to give ** a quote. They said it was between their subcontractors and me now (even though they were the ones that guaranteed me that they would hold the furniture for 30 days). I had to hire people to put my furniture in storage until we got back. It was a terrible experience that cost ** a lot of stress and triple the price after it was all said and done. I don't know if there are any honest movers out there or not. But I do know, Home and Office movers are by far the most dishonest people I have ever dealt with. And that's who National Movers use for their subcontractors. And don't count on National Movers protecting you from their subcontractorsReview from michele f

WARNING: do not use national moving company so ive been calling around about moving trucks and estimates. well, i stumbled upon national moving company. I gave them a call and they quoted me for loading, unloading, and travel for 2.5k, but if i booked then, They said id sabe $500. I wasnt about to pay the $800 deposit without talking to will first so i asked if he was ok with waiting, he said of course while I was texting will. After two minutes, he said i dont have time for this, the second you get off the phone, ill have someone calling to schedule. I dont call a company and waste their time if I am just price shopping (even tho their website wouldnt give me a quote) and I know your looking for bad reviews because i heard your partner in the background (he *****************************). we may have a few negative reviews but we are in the top four of forbes. im making $22 off this commission so I dont really care I explained to him how that was incredibly rude and I would never talk to someone like that in customer **********************. so he asked what he said was rude so he can improve, i told him he made me as a customer feel like my business wasnt important and that saying you dont need someone buisnesss, isnt how you secure business. he literally said im not going to argue with you and hung up on me. Then I checked the BBB, they have over 59 complaints of people NEVER getting their stuff. every response from the company was gaslighting the customer. they had a 1.2 rating on ********************. Now my phone is being blown up by them asking for my business. The rep even listening to the call and was appalled by how he acted but its safe to say we wont be using them.Review from Stacey M

If I could give 0 stars I would. Our furniture and belongings arrived SO damaged. After replacing a TV, big green egg, lamps, leather chair and MANY household items that had to just be thrown away, we calculated $4800 worth of damage. ***** in the ******** office had NO interest in helping us. First after we took pictures and sent her our damages it was "insurance will be 90 days to look into this" - then "120 days"... now no call backs, no answers from them. They are trying to scam us and just get rid of us. Do not expect your belongings to show up without a LOT of damage and NO accountability.Review from Ramona R

Please stay away and do not use this moving company. I hired them for a move- **********, ** to ****** , **. on October 2021. I agree with previous reviews, ************ are fraudsters. Hiring this company was one of the worst decisions I made , this company was absolutely dreadful, every day gets worse . They are crooks, liars and cheats. I will go as far as to call them scammers. Every interaction has been beyond horrible. I have never experienced anything like this in my life as a consumer. I am literally shocked. I am taking legal action to the full extent of the law. BUYERS BEWARE. If there is one review you ever read, let this be the one. DO NOT ENGAGE THIS COMPANY, you will regret it.1) **** visit my home, took pictures walked through my entire home and gave me a quote.2) Moving day, driver and (2) loaders arrive at my home, they loaded for abt five hours, and advise me they would need to get a larger truck, could not get all my items on the truck. They left with 70% loaded truck. they advise they would return next day to finish loading.3) Received a call from *****, advising me we had more items ( not true) and in order for movers to return- I would have to pay an additional $1,994- for them to return and complete the move. At that point, I had no other recourse but to pay the additional money in order to get my items delivered to my new home, they holding my items as hostage.4) They promise my items would arrive on Monday Oct 11th, of course that did not happen. My *********** called and left message on ************* several days ***********************, no response. They finally arrived at my new home on October 14th- (5) days late.5) Driver arrived and another car pulled up at the same time. The person in the car advise, the moving company placed a ad on ******* list for unloaders- only (1) unloader came to my house. In order to get the truck unloaded, my husband had to help unload. On Delivery day, the driver came with the same truck, that
