On July 18, 2023 we received notification from our mortgages company Homestar that our loan was being transferred to a new service provider.By law they are to give us 60 days notice of the transfer of our loan. They have us less than 2 weeks. Our loan payment is due today and Homestar has refused to accept our payment. Our new provider has no information on our loan being transferred and they cant accept payment either. What are we supposed to do? We have received no information from our new provider and they had no idea our loan was being transferred. The loan payment is going to be late and as a result will be a late payment on the credit report. Loan companies must follow proper procedures and laws when transferring loans. Homestar has failed to do this. I would highly suggest you find another loan provider

If purchasing a new construction use your attorney not the lender preferred. This lender was given two property tax figured one an estimate on what the property was with no structure built on it the second a figure with the home built and completed. This lender originally has it set with the tax rate with a house on it which is accurate then changed it to be land value only which was about $2600 this caused our escrow account to be short funded by that amount. This caused an increase of about $500 a month on our payment. When complaining to the company a mistake was admitted. Nothing they can do and an explanation would not be provided upon asking. This is our 4the new home and NEVER had this happen. Escrow was always funded properly not based on land. This is poor business practice done by Homestar.

As a first-time home buyer, I was scared and nervous with the whole process until I met ************************He is simply amazing!!! He made the entire experience so easy and simple that I would definitely refer anyone that is looking to buy a house to him! His entire team is just perfect! His assistants *********************** and ************************************** work like a clock on getting everything done!I never had to call to request anything! They were always ahead of the game and would keep me posted as the process moved along.The only few times I had to call ******, he always answered! He made himself available the whole time and would even call me late at night if some important needed to be discussed. He literally took one hour on the phone with me two days prior to closing, explaining word by word of the contract so I knew exactly what I was going into... ******, you should be proud of yourself! You and your team are very reliable, trustworthy, and professional that I wish other financial institutions had people like you all; it would definitely make peoples lives much easier.Thank you so much for helping me achieve my dream of owning a house! You are the best!!!

If I can I give homestar a 10 I would They are awesome. They communicated all the time non stop.. Please give them a ten.If you are looking to buy a home use Homestar. There team is great. Make sure you use the whole team. ***** ******* ***** ******* ******. And the Law firm *************************** if you use them they will also walk you through the step as long as you do what needs to be done you will not have any problems. They are good at what they do. I'm from ********** and they do business way better. They were honest in everything they have done for me. With no misunderstanding at all. I believe this business is the absolute best. They enjoy what they do and they pass this on to their customers. They are quick to respond to phone calls, text and emails and they never made me feel rushed when I would have several questions to ask. Purchasing my home seemed easy under the guidance of **************** and her team. They really are the best in the business. ********************

Homestar and ******************* were great. I highly recommend using them if you are looking to purchase a home. We were very satisfied throughout the whole process!

Homestar is awesome. Our lender *** communicated every step of the way and was incredibly eqsy to work with. I would highly recommend Homestar to anyone looking for an easy lender to work with .

Total dissatisfaction!! Took 3 months for them to complete a refinance. Made my first payment with over $2000 to extra to apply to my principal. They never applied extra amount to my loan and sold my mortgage to a different lender. Upon multiple attempts of trying to get my money there response is they no longer service this loan. 4 months after making the payment, I still havent received any credit to my mortgage. Big mistake using this company.
