Very unprofessional both ethical and morally. Do not use them especially if insurance gets involved. Insurance used them to come check on our house because our bottom floor was soaked and insurance told them pretty much what type of test to perform to find a leak in the slab. They reported it was just a window leak, but there is water issues in other areas on the house not even close to the window. We know the report was wrong and we hired an independent plumber who did a total different report. The plumber then asked American Leak Detection to perform a leak detection report. They gave him the same report they handed the insurance company, and changed me $295. It was major conflict of interest and American Leak Detection.

This is inaccurate information. The plumber was not given a report from American Leak Detection, they received the report directly from the insurance company. The insurance company also did not tell the technician what type of leak detection to perform, their request was to find the cause and origin of the leak. A slab leak was ruled out with a pressure test and the cause was found to be the window leaking. The customer has been misinformed by the plumber.

Super unprofessional! As a pool builder and industry professional, we used this company for years to do leak detection. WE called this week to try to get emergency service (even offered to pay more) for a major leak on a pool, we were NOT asking them to fix just to locate leak. I had the number of a technician from this company who did this service for my personal pool, he gave me his number and said if I ever needed anything to call him. My receptionist called me and told me they could not get there for 10 days, so I called this technician and I asked if he could pull some strings to get to this pool a little faster as it was losing a lot of water (not a small leak) and with cold temps it was pretty important. There are so many of these companies out there, but we have used this one for a few years and typically were happy with their response time, instead of calling me to ask what my conversation was with the tech (who I asked to try to move us up the schedule, I did NOT ask him to come on his personal time or circumvent the office, I offered to pay an emergency fee to the COMPANY not him directly) the manager wrote a nasty e mail stating we will never work for you again. OK that is fine, plenty of other reputable companies, but apparently ******** at American Leak Detect in Atlanta likes to shoot off nasty e mails without any facts, I would guess that if they provide customer service this way that perhaps their quality of service in the field may match and perhaps best we find another company . My next call was to Atlanta Leak Pros, and WOW what a difference, they can get to us quickly and they are professional. I would say ditch American Leak Detection and try Atlanta Leak Pros for your leak detection needs, this way you don't inconvenience ******** by interrupting her day.
