    I hired Backyard Escapes in 2021 to create and build our pool/spa. In the initial phase and beginning of the building process the communication was good and the process took place as I figured it would. Throughout the process, however, there were gaps of time/weeks that nothing took place with little reasoning given aside from blaming another party for the delay. The real problem began when the work was done - I started experiencing problems with my pump/motor not functioning properly. When I contacted ******* at Backyard Escapes, he initially didn't respond for days (which I though was unusual since previously he had responded in a reasonable amount of time - apparently when he needs money from you he will respond). After a few days/week I got a message from him with general troubleshooting ideas - are the skimmers empty, is the water level in the middle of the tiles/skimmer - I was actually insulted at first but appreciated the response. After informing him that I had tried everything I knew to do prior to contacting him and that I really needed assistance, he ignored me. I have multiple thousand of dollars of new equipment that I want to make sure last as long as possible and when a problem occurs just a few months after install I would expect that contractor to stand behind his work (and equipment). I have been ignored for weeks despite pleading with ******* with Backyard Escapes to PLEASE HELP me determine the source of the problem so I have a functioning pool system. The problem has made cleaning the pool next to impossible, I can't keep the balance accurate and I have a heater that I would like to enjoy and have the kids swim before the weather warms up the water and I'm unable to use any of the equipment due to a problem that I can't identify and that the contractor, *******, refuses to communicate and resolve. It's beyond frustrating, I thought he was a stand-up person that would stand behind his work, instead he got paid and could care less.
