ZERO STARS! My Dr. ordered CPAP equipment from this company. My insurance provided prior authorization for this specific company name. AHME has filed insurance claims with a different tax identification number (TIN) so my insurance is rejecting the claims as out-of-network and no prior authorization requested. I am stuck holding the bag. I bought a more expensive zero deductible gold insurance plan with a high maximum out of pocket, but the claims are denied and the money I spend is not being added to my maximum out of pocket. They charge at least twice the going market price for a CPAP machine and supplies. While I have been dealing with my insurance, trying to figure out why some claims are in network and some not, and my EOBs say I owe nothing, do not pay this claim, AHME is adding late fees to my bills and threatening with going to collection. This is a scam. Do they file with the wrong TIN on purpose to collect more money from me, the patient, than the insurance would have paid?This whole 8-month ordeal has been very disconcerting. In addition I get emails from AeroCare and phone calls from AdaptHealth and I have no clue where all these people are (***********?). I am ready to file an official complaint when the response to my grievance to the insurance comes in. I have stuck with my therapy despite all of this but would understand others would just send the equipment back and their health would suffer.
