First thing the white glove inspection that knight homes claim they do in their video is a joke!
The homes floor plans are beautiful but, the some workmanship is horrible! just a few month into closing we had some issues, one toilet you hold the handle down to flush(had 2 plumbers come out) still doing the same thing, the inside paint work in some areas is sloppy! and the floor in the same bathroom starting rising up(eventually replaced).

Before we closed my husband and I saw that part of the driveway had been removed, we were told it would be fixed before closing(it was) when we saw the finished work it was a different color from the rest of the driveway. soon after it started cracking and now its sunk in(uneven), sent this to the warranty dept we were told its not covered! whether its warranty or not it should be repaired regardless!!!! We haven't been in our home a year yet, ridiculous!!! Now we're going back and forth trying to get this issue taken care of, and speaking with Tim ****** is getting us no where.

Prior to the closing of the home in October 2020 it was discovered by the on site project manager that the water service line was on the wrong side of the driveway for the meter connection. A small strip of concrete was removed from the driveway and the line was buried under the driveway and resurfaced. The initial request for the driveway correction was requested through the Front Line Warranty Service as perscribed in August of 2021 or 10 months later and the request was denied by the warranty administrator as exterior concrete is not a warranted item as agreed with the purchaser at the time of closing on the property. The home owners husband contact this office by phone on August 19, 2021 to speak more about the request. I advised hime that I would visit the property at some point to evaluate the claim in person which was done on August 20, 2021. The area that was cut has seeped less than 1/2" and is peforming the job intended for the driveway. There is an owner concern regarding the color difference and the joint being a trip hazard. The joint separation is less that the lip at the end of the driveway which has not been any sort of previous issue. The color difference is minimal which is common in concrete driveways.
We were not given the opportunity to respond to the owner as agreed prior to receipt of this review and see no need to speak to the owner further regarding as there is no corrective measures needed or required.
The builder has received and responded to no less than 7 previous requests of the owner in the last 10 months and will honor any warranted item through the remaining term of the warranty.

In response to *** ******* The initial request to repair the driveway was a few months after we closed, not 10 months! Its taking this long because we were told my the warranty dept that the builder would get back with us and never did so we submitted another claim because the area is now sinking in and was (discolored and cracking which was in the first request). They had months to respond to this issue, they never did so we decided to call Tim ourselves. As far as my husband and I submitting repair request they were all warranty, for example the downstairs toilet handle has to be held down to flush(still does) and the floor in that same bathroom started coming up, backdoor look wouldn't lock, master bathroom not heating up, island cabinet had a large piece chipped off, and shower grout was cracking which all were warranty issues so I don't know why Tim felt the need to mention the number of claims! Like I stated before the white glove walk through is a joke! we had vents missing, foyer hardwood floor is uneven and parts missing off the front of the house which we saw during our walk through which the white glove walk through is suppose to be done before the home owners walk through per Knight homes youtube video.
Per our initial request the problem was cracking not so much of the discoloration now its a bigger issue of sinking in.
Tim already stated the area had to be removed(concrete) so obviously the repairing of the area was NOT done right are we wouldn't be having this issue, the rest of the same type of areas in the driveway are not having this problem because they were not removed like the one in question.
Its funny how they respond to public complaints really quickly but, not issues in private.

My husband and I would gladly meet with Tim to further discuss this issue and get it resolve.

typo: from my last response vent covers were missing and my husband contacted *** ****** before August 19,2021. It was I who called on August 19/2021 and still have not received a return phone call.

The driveway issue was spoken to with the husband and he was told by phone that the area would be reviewed. Once the claim was filed with the BBB our policy is to answer the complaint through that venue as if it were the customer so there was no need to duplicate the response.
The matter of the driveway is closed and there will be no further considerations given. The owner agreed to the warranty pocilies and exterior concrete is not warranted. The owner currently has no open warranty requests through the warranty service so this office has no purpose in contacting the owner. Should they wish to file a claim, all valid items would be addressed under the warranty ass agreed.

Tim ****** stated he came to our residence on 8/20/21 to asses the driveway area that is cracking and sinking because they had to take that area back up to fix a mistake with water lines that was improperly installed, which was never put back probably. We have security cameras on our property which alerts us when someone/something is on or near the property, which we saw Tim was never at our property so it baffles us how he came up with his decision on our driveway. Per my husband, since the builder (Knight Homes) seems to be in their feelings/upset about us filing a report and wanting to close the issue instead of just communicating and coming to a reasonable conclusion (favor of/not); let me(husband) state how we got here.....This is a deal between the owner and builder in which we the owners held up our end. So we just want the builder to take responsibility for their end. Although exterior concrete is not a warranty item, the builder stated "they removed and resurfaced" a strip of concrete. We were told not to worry about it, when it dries it would be back like it was as the rest of the driveway. We brought up the issue again in January 2021, (not 10 months later) we closed October 30th 2020. Because it never did dry as the rest of the driveway, we felt like we were being ignored or either misunderstood by it not being a warranty item and was advised by property workers to call in and send pictures. My husband did call in August and sent an email and spoke to Tim ****** and was told he would look at it when he was in the area. I called(wife) next week simply to ask if he came out and if not when will he be in the area, I was told he's on another call the young lady took a message and Tim ****** never returned my phone call which led to this report being filed. After filing this report the Knight group states that the property was visited on August 20, 2021; if that was the case the Knight group/Tim ****** could have contacted us and communicated what they found; so we played our video cameras back of the date in question and found that no one visited our property on August 20, 2021. In an attempt to make us look like the problem, Tim ****** with Knight Homes stated that they responded to no less than 7 requests in 10 months; so what does that say about the work that was down on the property that we even needed to file 7 warranty claims in 10 months. My biggest complaint is that I think The Knight Group needs to do a better job at overseeing or simply going over the work once the contractor is complete (white glove inspection walk through)....our home clearly didn't receive the proper walk-through.

Our driveway needs to be repaired properly by Knight Homes (whom we purchased from) whose now Dan Ryan Homes.
