On April 23, 2023 I won an auction for an ********************** ring. When I noticed after a few days that the status was still showing as Processing, I contacted customer support to find out what was happening. I was informed that the representative would email fulfillment to have the situation investigated. I couple days later, I contacted them again as I had not gotten a response. What I was told after all was said and done, was that the item was not available and they gave me a 10% coupon to use on a future purchase as an apology.On May 25, 2023 I won another auction ********************** I chatted with a **************** Rep yesterday when I saw that this item was still showing as Processing.(They advertise that shipments are made within 12 hours of purchase) The rep said they would contact fulfillment to see what the status of the order was. Today, I checked my order and saw that it also had been cancelled. I contacted **************** ******** and was informed that the item had been "oversold". I have won another auction on May 29, 2023 which is still showing as Processing. I am, honestly, not holding out hope that this would be any different of a situation.I would like to know if this practice of advertising and accepting bids on items that are not actually available is legal. When you win an auction, from what I understand, the amount is not charged until shipment but the money is frozen on whatever payment type you use. I don't believe they should be doing this if they can't guarantee that the item will even ship.
