We called Atlanta Chimney Doctor owner, ***********************, to inquire about having a new chimney cap installed and having the fireplace panel inserts replaced. He asked when was the last time we had our prefabbed fireplace cleaned, to which I said never. He said he would first need to come out and clean it and inspect it, for $349. Upon completion of the cleaning and inspecting, we were told that there had been a chimney fire before and that if it were his house he wouldnt burn a wood fire in it. ***** recommended we install gas logs, as they would be safe to use. He quoted us $3,421.00 to replace the chimney cap, install gas logs, and replace the back fireplace panel insert, and reattached the side fireplace panels. I agreed and said to move forward and used ***** to send him a $521.00 deposit on 11/27/23.On 12/11/23 two of ************** showed up to do all the work. Wife wrote them a check for $3,421 and they were gone. When I got home to inspect the work, I noticed that the left side fireplace panel was still not reattached correctly. When my wife asked the worker about it, he told her that was normal and that they are supposed to lean in. I emailed ***** pictures of it on 12/12/23 to see if he would come back out to repair/replace the left side panel and he agreed he would. On 12/19/23 he didnt show back up as his dispatcher said he would, and when I called him, he said he had it on his schedule for 12/28/23 at 4pm. Ok, fine, Ill see you then. On 12/28/23, no show, no call, nothing. I texted him again on 12/29/23 and said I guess you will reschedule for ******** He replied yes, 1/8/24 at 4pm. On 1/8/24, again no show, no call, no text, nothing. I took two vacation days for the 12/28/23 and the 1/8/24 days for nothing. I texted ***** on 1/8/24 at 5:46pm basically giving up on him, he replied at 11pm later that night. His reply "there is nothing wrong with your stupid fireplace you have OCD". I had a death in my family and this review is wrong! We did everything you asked us to do to a tee and your wife was very happy and Im sure you are enjoying your new gas logs! This minor gap you spoke of is from the chimney fire affecting the smoke shield and is not a hazard! We took the effort to save you over $7000 for a new fireplace and you want to complain?

Company installed chimney liner 11/12/21 and promised to return 1/22 to clean chamber. They never did return 1/22 to clean chamber and when I contacted them as to why they did not return as promised, owner *********************** claimed he was sick. A few weeks after that ***** was difficult to contact and when I finally reached him he promised to return to do the cleaning 3/15/22. Day of promised cleaning appointment, company did not show up and ***** didn't return my repeated calls or emails. Company quality seems to be OK so far but not following-up as promised makes me question if they stand behind their work if something goes wrong. Failure to fulfill promised service is unethical and fraudulent. Yelp has many complaints about this business very similar to my experience. Buyer beware!

This is so untrue! You hired me to do a major chimney reline job after you shopped around and could find nobody else with my skill level and pricing! We did your job in one day not a week like other companies and you were very pleased with our work! You told me your fireplace has never worked so well and now your safe from a chimney fire! I volunteered to clean your smoke chamber for FREE after the winter was over and yes I was sick and the second visit you had a tree fall across the street and we could not get to your house! I told you we would get you back on our schedule to do this service at NO CHARGE !! So you decided to give my company a one star review? Thanks! If you ever need our service in the future we will charge you for the work and not do the cleaning for FREE! I do appreciate you choosing my company for this very difficult job because I know it was done correctly and you have a Lifetime Warranty and youll be Safe!
