Christian Brothers have been a blessing to our family. We've taken our vehicles to the ******* and Hamilton ***** locations. They truly treat you like your family and not just a number. Their system is very unique, unlike other body shops. They are very organized with their texting system that notifies you when your vehicle is ready. They explain everything in detail so if you're a female and don't understand "body shop" terms, they'll make certain to take their time and explain everything to you. The name "******"*** speaks for itself. They most definitely have a ******-like attitude towards their customers. I've never felt so cared about by any other body shop. They do excellent work, have excellent customer service, and let me not forget to mention, their front office is very clean. I picked up my truck today from the Hamilton ***** location and if I didn't know it was a body shop I would have thought I walked into a doctor or layers office. The holiday decorations were immaculate. ****** even offered us water and asked if we wanted it cold or room temperature. Where do you get that kind of service? The power steering went out on my grand daughter's car. We took it to Christian Brothers for repairs.Their diagnostics are as follows: Power steering is completely gone. No whine present. Reservoir is dry. Noticed that the fluid cooler return hose was disconnected and had caused the massive fluid leak and loss of power steering. Appears that return line has been altered prior to service, as these fittings and clamps do not look factory. Line will be reconnected and fluid will be filled and rechecked. After line was reconnected, attempted to bleed air from system and steering was still very tight and difficult to move. Suspect internal issues in steering gear that caused excess pressure in line that resulted in it coming off. Their solutions to these "problems" are as follows: Four wheel alignment, replace ************* with new tie rod ends, replace PS return line, Power steering flush.Cost of these "repairs" is as follows: Rack and Pinion - $955.94, 4 wheel alignment - $99.95, Power Steering Return Line $593.17, ************************ $150.96. Along with diagnostic charges this turned out to be a total of $1874.25. We declined and paid the $74.23 diagnostic charge. We then took the car to a reputable mechanic who diagnosed the problem as a defective power steering pump. He did not find any of the other issues. He replaced the power steering pump and this solved the problem. Total charge for this was less than $400.00. I truly believe that had we allowed Christian Brothers to do the work when everything was done that they wanted to they would have come back and said oh by the way the power steering pump will have to be replaced also. I would not recommend them for any automotive work and if you decide to use them you should be very cautious about trusting their recommendations.
