Date of transaction: Contracted on 11/20/20 for Clay Baily/ Auto Service Center to install new crate motor, EFI fuel injection, exhaust, radiator, clean gas tank, electrical wiring, new alternator install. The work was never completed. Amount paid: $7,000 on 11/20/20. Service work: See details below. Nature of dispute: See details below. Has business tried to resolve the problems? Many times and Clay either cannot (incompetent) or will not finish repairs. Repair Order #3010. I brought my '74 Bronco to Auto Service Center on 11/20/20 for a new crate motor, Sniper EFI fuel injection, exhaust system, and radiator, including installation. 18+ months later, Clay Bailey (Owner) was still "working on it". When I finally got my car back on 11/20/20, the "new" motor leaked oil and other fluids everywhere. I inspected the motor and discovered the oil pan bolts are only hand tightened. The valve covers are only hand tightened and leaking oil. The transmission pan bolts are only hand tightened and leaking fluid (He did a fluid change) transmission. The head bolts are loose because he did not install locking ones I requested and he agreed to install. The new mufflers and exhaust system, I requested stainless pipes and he instead had standard steel exhaust installed. I took it back to him multiple times to fix issues and Clay would let my Bronco sit for months. He would say over and over again, "We're working on it...", but in reality, it was just sitting and not one was repairing it. Then it got worse: During a test drive he stated that he caught my new engine on fire. Clay told me he did not to replace the fuel line that came with the new Edelbrock Sniper EFI kit. This apparently resulted in the old fuel line rupturing and igniting. Now there is a large burned spot in my hood with no paint on it, which he did not repair. The new aluminum and chrome engine parts are all heat scorched or oxidized. Also, all the paint is burned off the motor and other motor parts I painted
