I took my vehicle to Herbert Automotive to get some repairs done, as I was experiencing a reduced power issue. After looking at the issue, I was informed it most likely was a bad battery, so I had them replace it. This did not solve the reduced power, so I again came to them and explained what was going on and showed them what I was experiencing. This went on for a few weeks, where I would come back and they would replace something, and then return it to me, until I had spent ******* in repairs and finally told them what they were doing was obviously not addressing the issue, and they were putting unnecessary miles on my truck. Along with this, they claimed that they could drive the vehicle without issue. It was at this point they stopped communicating with me, and for about a week I called and asked them to let me know when I could pick up the vehicle, as I wanted to take it somewhere else for a second opinion. Eventually I did get to speak to the manager who said they had performed a repair without my authorization and wanted an additional $600 before I could get the vehicle. However, after talking to him, he agreed to let me take my vehicle home. I then made an appointment with another shop here in town that was recommended to me, and had the vehicle inspected. At this other shop, I explained to them my situation and I really wanted someone to ride with me and see what I was experiencing. They agreed, and drove the vehicle with me, and even had a second person drive it. I was then informed the vehicle was no longer safe to drive, as the clutch, fly wheel, and possibly the master/slave cylinder were bad, and that was the reason for ************ issue. The manager of this shop informed me that the other shop either blatantly took me for my money, or just didn't have experienced people working there at all. As it was very clear what was wrong with the vehicle. Now I have had paid $3062.92 to have to vehicle fixed properly, so that I can safe operate it.
