Purchased a car less than 1 month ago. At the time of purchase there was no check engine light. Just after purchase, during finalizing paperwork it came on. They claimed it was due to a battery that they had replaced that morning.We took it to ***** to get it inspected and they confirmed the *current* battery was completely bad (meaning had not just been replaced) and also that the battery would not have triggered a check engine light.After reading the light, it was determined that the actual cause was the supercharger seal needing replaced, after completing their inspection it was determined that the support battery is also bad, as well as the actual modem needing updated from 3g to 4g. Less relevant is that it needs a rotation and balance (that is more understandable of a used vehicle).The cost to replace the battery and the software required for the battery upon install was $1100 that we paid 3 days after purchasing the vehicle from Malones. The remaining cost to replace the support battery is $340 and another $3400 for the supercharger repair. The cost to update the modem is another $1300 and the rotation and balance is $367.Not only has Malones been completely impossible to contact (we have called dozens of times, the handful of times we get a person on the phone they claim we will get a call back and dont), their offer was $200 to appease us.This is completely unacceptable. We gave them a hefty down-payment, we provided them the quotes and direct contact information for ***** and they know they lied to us about the condition of the vehicle. They failed to disclose highly relevant and expensive repair costs.
