On 02/26/2024 I purchased a car for my daughter to be able to drive back and forth to work since I work night shift and I havent been getting enough sleep. This was her first car and she helped pay half of it. I paid $6,000 cash to purchase the car paid in full. The owner sold me the car and told me and my friend that he tried to do right by his customers and cars. Immediately after I purchased the vehicle about 2 minutes after leaving the service engine light appeared and the car would make a jerking movement at times. Car also had a s**** in tire almost flat and missing air filter and cover. Got the codes ran and had my mechanic look at it. Needs engine timing replaced. Ive had 2 mechanics tell me the same things. Cost $3,147 to have the engine timing repaired. I called very next day due to it being late and owner son gave me the run around saying they dont deal with emissions, I said no its the engine! After over a week of calling and going by there once I finally got owner on the phone. He said his mechanics cant work on cars that arent his, and that its probably the spark plugs and said ok hun bye bye and hung up on me after I said Im sure the mechanic checked spark plugs or will. My mechanic said spark plugs were pretty new and the solenoids and looks like someone probably knew about the issue with the engine. Also on the title paperwork I signed the title said the car had ******* miles on car when in fact the car has over *******. Still waiting on title in the mail. The owner offered no solution and didnt try to help in any way. The car also has recalls that need to be fixed, passenger side airbag recall on the vehicle.
