Visitors to New York are alleging that a tour company is misleading them about their tour tickets. BBB® Serving Metropolitan New York is alerting those traveling to NYC about All Attractions City Tour LLC (AACT), a tour guide company that, as the date of this alert, has an F-rating with the BBB. The company’s website claims, “We offer more than just sightseeing; we provide an immersive journey through the heart of this iconic metropolis,” but consumers’ complaints to BBB tell a different story.
Complainants allege being approached by AACT representatives with enticing offers for discounted NYC sightseeing packages. However, after agreeing to a price, consumers claim that they were overcharged, and AACT failed to refund the overcharged amount despite multiple requests. Some reports also cite misrepresentation of the duration of the tour and the specific services included.
Several complaints also allege that AACT representatives falsely claimed to be affiliated with another company, Statue City Cruises. In some cases, consumers reported that agents physically obstructed their path to get their attention.
Other complaints explain that AACT questioned the validity of already purchased tour tickets, even though the tickets were legitimate, and persuaded them to buy other tour tickets. Additionally, complainants said AACT agents were not clear with them about whether the tours they were selling included a trip directly to the Statue of Liberty, leaving customers frustrated and allegedly misinformed.
Some tourists who complained to BBB said that instead of being taken directly to a cruise related to the Statue of Liberty, they were led to a tour bus, with delays that resulted in extended wait times and, in some cases, missing the expected cruise entirely.
All City Attraction Tour has received 19 consumer complaints filed with the BBB in the past 12 months, none of which have received a response from the company as of the date of this release.
