Free business video: How Green Zones Safaris in Watertown, MA uses BBB's member benefits
Steven Tomusange runs Green Zones Safaris, a safari tour company with headquarters in Watertown, MA, and offices in Uganda. The business customizes all-inclusive safari trips to East African countries, including Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya.
Tomusange incorporated Green Zones Safaris in Massachusetts in 2018 and became a BBB Member Accredited Business in 2020. As a young U.S. tour company facilitating trips to faraway countries, Tomusange said that he sought BBB accreditation for Green Zones Safaris “to boost customer confidence” in the tour operator’s services.
Tomusange learned, through his BBB customer representative, that BBB could produce a professional video describing Green Zones Safaris’ offerings at no additional cost to him. The founder jumped on the opportunity and said it continues to be a valuable tool for marketing his company.
When asked about the video’s production process, Tomusange said, “I gave an interview about my business. Since our tours happen in East Africa, I also provided photos and safari videos that were taken by my team on location. During my interview, I described the tour services that we provide our clients.”
In the video, Tomusange describes where his tours take place and what travelers can expect on a trip with Green Zones Safaris. The video described some tour experiences like East Africa’s natural wonders and wildlife. Tomusange also explained what makes his company unique, including his passion for arranging unforgettable safari tours for his clients.
The business owner described how he uses the video to promote Green Zones Safaris and express its credibility as a tour operator. “The video has been very helpful for marketing and presentations. When we're writing emails to different agents trying to get their attention to our company, we always share the video link for them to see that it is a Better Business Bureau video. And they always like it and know that our services are credible. It describes what we do.”
Additionally, Tomusange has posted the video on Green Zones Safaris' social media channels, including YouTube, and described how consumers have responded to it. “People watch it and share it with a friend. People have told us that they’ve seen our business being showcased by Better Business Bureau. They can see our BBB Seal and know we’re a business they can rely on. So our BBB video helped us to boost our customer confidence in our services.”
Tomusange also mentioned how he uses other BBB Member Benefits and appreciates that he can network with other business owners in the BBB Member Accredited Business Community and gather helpful advice. “BBB Membership has been a very good experience,” he concluded.
