Credit Unions Fighting Fraud: Identifying and Protecting Yourself from Financial Fraud

About this event

Financial crimes, fraud, and scams are increasingly affecting our communities at an alarming rate. To combat this growing threat, several credit unions, along with Woodbury Public Safety have partnered to organize this fraud prevention seminar which will help attendees learn to prevent and protect against scams. This event is open to the public and welcoming to those of all ages.

In addition, we're offering secure paper shredding and e-waste disposal at the event to help you protect your personal information. Bring your unwanted personal documents and e-waste, such as old phones, laptops, and hard drives, for safe and secure disposal.

Key Activities:

  • 90-Minute educational session on identifying and preventing financial fraud.
  • Secure Paper Shredding: Attendees can bring sensitive documents for secure disposal in an onsite shred truck. (Up to 5 bags or boxes per person)
