Wow, 7 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars later, I see that this company is still allowed to ruin peoples dreams. We built while Oscar was still alive, it seems nothing has changed. ODS was recommended by Mel H******* of ******* Bank. We trusted him. The entire process of building our home was a nightmare. There was no oversight of the subcontractor’s, the builder had a full time job with ******* and came on saturdays at 10. There were warning signs from the very beginning and if we had known we could fire a builder we would have fired him. I don’t even know where to start but I’ll start with the fact that we spent $40,000 on Pella windows and doors. We had no idea ODS did not have a certified Pella installer. It wasn’t until I found every box of Pella screws, hardware, and instructions in the trash pile that I questioned the installation. Even though those windows and doors have special hardware. Unfortunately, over half of all the windows and doors we have has leaked and had to be repaired or replaced. We had a 3 story entryway that had faux rock on it, it too leaked. ODS replaced it twice but unfortunately their workers are not trained properly in much of anything. We ended up tearing all the faux rock off and replacing it with stucco , like the rest of the house. In that process, we realized that the rock was never installed properly, the surface was not prepared via the manufacturer’s recommendations, therefore all the cost was on us. The electrical was never done properly and we had the contractors electrician out more times than we could count,but he too was just not capable of doing the job. We have had to hire new companies and pay for them to do the work right that we paid ODS to do. We dropped our lawsuit because we needed the money to fix all the mistakes ODS had made, it became clear that their attorney nor Doris had no intention of doing the right thing. We just hope to save anyone else from experiencing this loss and despair.
